Most vehicles today come with flush mounted side rails or no roof racks at all. These vehicles don’t have raised rails or cross bars for carrier attachment straps to wrap around. Add Car Clips to Rightline Gear Double-Looped Attachment Straps

The attachment straps on previous Rightline Gear Car Top Carriers are long and have loop-ends. Add the Replacement Car Clips to the attachment straps of these Carriers.

Replace Car Clips on Single Loop Attachment Straps

The attachment straps on current Rightline Gear Car Top Carriers are shorter and have only loop-end. The straps come with the Car Clips already added, but, if you misplace your Car Clips, the Replacement Car Clips can be easily added.

Using Car Clips - Step 1

Run a strap's loop end through the backside of a Car Clip.

Step 2

Thread the strap's opposite end (loop or straight) through the loop.

Step 3

Pull the strap so that it tightens around the Car Clip.

Step 4

Hook the Car Clips under the vehicle’s door frame weather molding.

Step 5

Repeat for the additional straps and tighten all straps evenly.

Step 6

Close the vehicle’s doors over the clips/straps.

Question:	Will they hold the Face guard of a dirt bike helmet
Answer:	The opening is about 1 1/8" long by about 3/16" tall; the straps on my bag are 1" wide and I doubt you could get anything substantial wider than 1 1/8" through the opening. By the way, the clips would not attach to my 2005 BMW. There's nothing for them to hook onto.
Question:	What is the load capacity for the hooks
Answer:	I don't know about a KIA Sedona, but I used it on a Nissan Altima with a bare roof. Only problem was small rain leakage by the clips used to secure the carrier to the car top. The clips go under the gasket at the top of the door opening. Just tucked a couple paper towels there to catch water when raining and removed when done.

Answer:	I do not know if it will fit your Jeep. I drive a 2010 Toyota RAV4 with a side opening tailgate and use this rack. As far as being able to open the tailgate when it is in place, if your lower straps have to anchor on to your bumper, or anything underneath the bumper, then you will not be able to open the tailgate while it is installed. There are no convenient attachments on my car for the lower straps, so I anchor them to the tie-down rings inside the rear compartment, then I close the door on the straps and cinch them up. I have to remove the rack to open the tailgate. This is the only rack that I have found to fit on my car, and it is fairly easy to take on and off the car. The hardest part for me is putting the rigid tire cover back on the spare, but the rack itself is easy.

Answer:	They’re gold. I had a color scheme I was doing in my trailer and was needing silver. These said in the description it was chrome. But I ordered sent back, sent me another set and they were the same way. I ended up keeping the second set. And painted them chrome

Answer:	Gap in the hook is about size of your fist. I have couple welding helmets on one. Rest are hangings leads and power cords and ladders inside trailer. Super heavy duty. Could hang a helmet if you didn't mind it swinging on the road some.

Answer:	I would say it's as strong as your E-track will hold. I installed them in my box truck and dropped a 6"pvc pipe into the hook and use it for all my long handled tools, another for all my pump hoses, and copperpiping.

Answer:	I do not know, I felt a significant amount of resistance also but assumed this is the design. Considering the rated capacity of the aerodynamic load bars attached by only a "clamping" mechanism - I would expect the resisitance for surety purpose.

Answer:	I do not know. This was for a Ford Flex. Best thing to do is to Google or go to the Thule website and put 2014 Lancer evolution Thule Rapid Traverse Foot Pack for the correct model number. You may also need a Thule Traverse Fit kit designed for your rooftop that works with the Traverse Foot Pack if your car has rain gutters or not. Good luck.

Answer:	I think Sergio means 4.8" tires which I have on a Surly Moonlander and as far as I know are the fattest fat bike tires commonly sold. I just put the Moonlander on this rack and the front wheel fits but you will need a strap extension to fix the back tire (4.8") in place which they sell separately, about $10.

Answer:	It folds back to about 35 degrees... my guess is you wouldn’t have to fold the rack out of the way at all once the bike is off rack and just open the tailgate. It should just about cover the rack when down and won’t impede access to the truck bed at all.
