Helpful Hints

Before first use, rinse with warm water or in the washing machine with other towels of similar colors. We recommend you use liquid detergent and warm water. Do not use fabric softener or bleach. Do not dry in the dryer.

After use, rinse the Absorber well, wring out, and place back in tube damp. The Absorber’s anti-mold and mildew technology will prevent rotting and extend the life of the product.

Answer:	I haven't had any problem with these shrinking. They are not a true 16 x 16 to begin with, they measure at about 16 x 15 before washing. I wash them in cool water and dry on low heat until dry. I have used several different brands of microfiber towels and these are some of the best. There is one other brand of microfiber towel that is 16 x 24 and it is the best I have ever used. Look for the gray 16 x 24 with a black binding. They work the best.

Answer:	Yes the body, valve stem, handle and all major parts are made of metal. Not sure if it is steel, it looks more like aluminum construction throughout. They are made commercial duty, so they can be recharged via certifiable places; unlike the cheaper disposable plastic ones which you'll have to throw away after a certain period of time even if unused. I have a 2.5 lb. I leave in my car for emergency purposes. Even outdoors all day in 106+ F. degree weather, the pressure gauge holds steady.

It's located there, as opposed to a corner, so your towel doesn't touch the ground when hanging in the gym or from a tree. Answer:	It depends how you intend to use it. I use the 20" X 40" version for backpacking because it's big enough to dry you off after bathing but it's the smallest lightest version offered. If I were going to use it by the pool or at the beach, I'd get the 32" X 72" version. Are you going to be backpacking and cleaning up in a mountain stream? Or are you going to be using it in hotels?

Answer:	Not sure what you are asking. Any chamois has a lot of surface tension when you pull it flat on a car as you dry it. You could use a microfiber towel to dry but it's not the same and you would need several to dry a car.
Question:	What are the Washing machine instructions
Answer:	You can toss them into the washing machine with some detergent and that’s all you do. Do NOT use fabric softener or dry them in the dryer. Take them straight from washer and put back into storage container.

Answer:	It's really meant to soak up water. I use it in my shower to dry the walls, and on my car after washing it. It's really not a mop.

Answer:	It's some sort of synthetic nonwoven substance over cheesecloth - which you will find separates if you try to pull it apart after it dries, which it seems to do from the inside out. Answer:	I have only had mine for a few weeks...have stored it wet and no mildew. I believe these are similar to the ones I use on my automobiles which I have used for years...I store them wet and never any problem with mildew or funky smells.
