Answer:	You should and it will run less and cure better, but you don't absolutely have to. If you skip primer, you have to degrease and clean the entire wheel in soap and water, then wet sand the entire surface to get through the clear coat or acrylic barrier in the paint layer, 800-2000 grit until the entire rim looks hazy when you wipe it dry. Then clean it with isopropyl alcohol, and use air to blow any remaining fibers or debris away from the wheel. All your coats must be 5-30 minutes apart, not sooner, not longer. First two coats, just lightly dust it, don't worry about coverage. Next coat should be a light overall coat that is not wet and glossy (pull it back!). Once that tacks up a bit, then you can apply a medium wet coat, by repeating the light coat you did over and over until it STARTS to look wet and glossy. Don't keep going over a spot that already does. Let it cure untouched for 7 days. Your paint will be good.

Instructions for the perfect look

Read the instructions carefully before use.

1. Smooth any unevenness with the rough sandpaper. Clean off all dirt and sand the spot with the fine wet sandpaper.
2. Clean the damaged alloy wheel with the alcohol prep pad and remove rough edges and unevenest around the damaged area.
3. Press the required amount of filling into a suitable container.
4. Mix 2-components to a consistent grey mass with spatula provided (finish the mixing within 2-4 mins).
5. Fill the damaged spot with the trowel, and let the mass harden for about 20 minutes.
6. Afterwards, level the mass flush against the rim with the sandpaper (first rough and then the fine sandpaper).
7. Rub the sanded spot dry with a clean cloth.
8. Clean the repair area.
9. Apply a thin layer of lacquer by brush. Skin time of lacquer should be at least 12 hours before using thecar, and full cure will takes 3 days.

Note: The silver lacquer match most of the alloy wheel colors. If the lacquer doesn't match the color of your alloy wheel please contact the manufacotr or dealer of your alloy wheels.

Answer:	I have alloy wheels and it worked great! After about 500+ road miles and a 10+ track hours they still look good. My wheels were getting so that power washing them did not clean them up well so paint was the option I picked.
Question:	How many rims did the two pack of spray cans paint? Enough for all 4 rims
Answer:	Yes, easily coats all four wheels.
Question:	Did you apply a clear coat after applying this paint
Answer:	not yet as I am waiting to see how the brake dust cleans off the wheels after the track days and then determine if a clear coat is needed. So far early observation is no clear coat needed.
