Question:	How long can you leave CLR in the toilet
Answer:	It still works.. I pour some on it. Then put a rag soaked with EvapoRust on the area. let sit for a while. Then I occasionally rub the surface and see how it looks. keep the rag with evaporust fairly wet. (If possible place item or area in a plastic bag, or make a "bag: using saran wrap around rag and area you are working on.
Question:	does anyone know if CRL can be used to clean painted walls
Answer:	I'm a dive master and certified tank inspector. If you have rust in your tank you should have it professionally inspected. You "could" use this but if there is pitting or other dammage it would cripple the tank and potentially make it unsafe to fill. Not sure about any residue this might leave that could contaminate the air, so I would say probably better stick to tumbling to remove light rust. Your dive shop can do this or should know of a service center that can.

Answer:	It removes rust from every surface that I've tried. For clothes I use Whink Rust remover. it is sold here on Amazon. The rust will disappear upon contact with the rust stain on cloth.

Answer:	I went to CLR's own website and found this: What surfaces should I not use CLR on?DO not use CLR on natural stone or marble, terrazzo, colored grout, painted or metallic glazed surfaces, plastic laminates, Formica, aluminum, steam irons, leaded crystal, refinished tubs or any damaged or cracked surface. CLR may etch older sinks, tubs and tiles. CLR is corrosive. Avoid contact with wood, clothing, wallpaper and carpeting. Some laminated surfaces (counter tops) are coated with a synthetic surface which may be affected by rust removers; clean spills immediately. Answer:	Any metal capable of rust will be prone to rust if exposed to humid environments. The simple solution is after cleaning with EvapoRust is painting it to protect it.

Answer:	With the evapo rust, you need to make sure there are no oils, grease, etc prior to being on the metal when you soak the evapo rust. Once you soak the evapo rust and the rust has been removed, the product has done its job. You do want to wash it off afterwards and dry it. To keep it from re rusting is another problem in of itself. We have a product called rust block that comes in either a trigger spray or aerosol can. Spray a layer of it on there and it will keep the object from re- rusting for up to a year

Question:	Can this be thinned? I purchased a two pack and both spray bottles won't spray the gel. The pumps work ok with water
Answer:	It needs to be exposed to the liquid for about 20 minutes. I read that you can soak rags or paper towel in it, then wrap that round the item, cover in plastic wrap and leave it for a while. I haven't tried that but I imagine the rags would need to be pretty wet.
Question:	Can this be used on fake wood flooring
Answer:	Yes it will...but takes a long time. I suggest Coke... removes rust real nice (I've been using it on cast iron for years). Just pour it in (if it's a flat piece submerge it in a pan of Coke). Let sit at least 1/2 hour... if not clean soak some more. You will have to re-season the piece.
Question:	Will this work for car water sprinkler stains
Answer:	I use the clr in the toilet and it work great but takes some time. I take toilet paper and fold it over to cover the ring around the bowl. It takes several sections of toilet paper to go all the way around. I use an old sprayer and soak the paper and will moisten it once in a day. After 8-10 hours, i remove the toilet paper and flush it, and immediately use an old green scrubby to remove the now soft deposits in the bowl. Don't breath the fumes as you are spraying the paper!

Question:	iron out can remove toilet ring
Answer:	It depends on what you are painting...and whether you can keep a light and steady hand for spraying. Also, you need an area to work that you don’t have to worry too much about overspray. With a brush you can get stroke lines, especially if you have broad surfaces. Most of the time I prefer to spray, as it ends up looking smooth.
Question:	Does it remove iron stains from cement side walks
Answer:	Pretty sure the only difference is the spray nozzle. This one comes with the white "spray at any angle" nozzle, considering you'd likely be spraying it on the underbody. The other can (with the chair graphic) uses the conventional red nozzle. These can't be swapped easily either, as the conventional nozzle is all one piece into the can, whereas the white one is assembled on a separate stem that goes into the can. Of course, if you have a decent 3d printer or are crafty with a rotary tool, you can manage to make an adapter to use the white nozzle on any can.
Question:	I haven't used mine in a while and now it's hard as a rock. Can I add water to the container and use it as a liquid

Answer:	Do not use on wood, it bleaches it white or grey in the case of cedar. You'll end up having to stain the area to match. Pressure clean it the wood. Iron out works best on sprinkle rust on concrete walls.

Answer:	Chip pieces out with screwdriver & hammer. Continue to break them down. You should then be able make paste as always to remove stains. If you a removing a stain from flat surface, cover with plastic and apply painters blue tape around edges and let sit for 12 hours. Has always worked on even the toughest stains. Sometimes another application is necessary

Answer:	I have only used the regular iron out, didn't know there was a super. I am very well pleased with this product and after only one application the rust was gone and has stays away for months!!

Answer:	I've used it on some of my automotive suspension parts, coated it with another acrylic coating, and it has all held up pretty well IMO. I think if you prep the surface properly and thoroughly, it should hold up pretty decently.

Answer:	Have been using this on rusty exhaust for years. Can't say I've tried it on headers, but has worked great for years on exhaust. I had rust on tail pipes from the morning drip. Sprayed the inside of the tail pipe for as far as the spray would go and had no more rusting.

Answer:	If you mean a barbeque grill grate, the Loctite company (loctiteproducts.com) specifically says that it works on barbeque grills. It is for removing rust from iron or steel; it shouldn't be used on aluminum or chrome or probably stainless steel.

Answer:	If it has rust yes, but don't leave it on too long. try a small section out of site to make sure it doesn't discolor the chrome.

Answer:	I bought it to remove rust stains from our cement patio it didn’t work very well you have to get it wet and sprinkle the granules on and scrub them in and let them sit for a long time and then about 80% of the rust came out but it took quite a bit of time and effort.

Question:	Can I use this in my car's radiator
Answer:	Brake rotors on what? If it's a car or truck then just go apply the brakes hard a few times or until the oxidation clears up. If it's really severe then you may have to replace the pads. If it's really, really corroded you may have to replace the rotors. If the rotors are on a bike or motorcycle and you're trying to make them look pretty - it will probably work. But remember, while Quick-Glo is a mild polish, it is also going to leave a protective (waxy) finish on the metal and this will wear off with the friction generated by braking. That's all I,ve got. Question:	How does this compare to evapo-rust? the wd costs about 20% more... is it worth the extra money
Answer:	Yes but ... it really depends on the thickness of the rust for one and I don't know if any paint or surface finish would stick to it when you're done. I did use it on some sixty year old, chrome plated rims off of a MotoLegara, Moto Guzzi as a final shot before I bought some new rims. It worked, took the rust down to the pitting on the metal and seemed to seal the finish with a wax coating. This little bike is more a less a parade / special even bike and no longer a daily rider. I really don't know about body surface rust however ...

Answer:	Yes, it's a fine product.
Question:	Does it harm non-ferrous metals
Answer:	I can't find my jar of Naval Jelly to read the facts for sure, but I used it on my porcelain bathtub where it had rusted at a seam and it did a great job, but I watched it closely as I did it. I just read the recommendations on line for what NOT to use it on, and it says it is not to be used on Cement, Fiberglass, Chrome, Aluminum, Plastic or Marble. I hope that helps you. If you are at a hardware store, or even Walmart, take a look at a jar of it and see if it recommends that it be used on ceramic tile or porcelain. (Then come back to Amazon to buy it where you get the best buy. One jar did a whole patio table and four chairs for me last summer!).
