This model of machine has been pre-lubricated at the factory and usually does not need additional lubricating right away. You can however put 2 to 3 small drops of sewing machine oil in the bobbin case area, as well as on the needle bar, this will not harm the machine. You may also put a few drops (2 to 3) on the hand wheel where it meets the side of the machine. Also Check or change the needle, a dull needle will cause the machine to sew loudly and may cause the needle to break. Therefore if you plan to sew patches onto denim vests/ jackets on a regular basis you may want to look at one of our Heavy Duty model sewing machines. Question:	Can this machine do a good cover stitch
Answer:	I know this is an old question but I hope it will help someone. I just tried this serger last night for the first time. The first stitch I did was the tripple coverstitch. It took me half an hour to thread it, but now that I have done it, I am sure it will take me less than 5 minutes next time. I am new to household sergers (used an industrial overlock over 20 years ago). Once I got it all set up, I was very pleased with the quality of the coverstitch. So far I don't regret buying this machine vs. high end brands.

I recall, at 12 or 13 running a few stitches on my mom's sewing machine, with supervision so I didn't break her machine or sew my hand to the cloth. However, at the same age, and with this "stitch/sew quick", I would have probably taken it outside and smashed it with a ball bat out of frustration.

Question:	Where does the auxiliary spool pin fit? On the bobbin winder? There's no hole on the top of the housing
Answer:	The location of the Auxiliary spool pin hole, on the Singer Simple model 3232 sewing machine, is indicated in the instruction manual on page 4, number 16. There is a filler cap in this hole that you will need to remove in order to insert the Auxiliary spool pin. The filler cap appears to be just a small round circle. You will see a small hole in the filler cap where you insert a straight pin to pop it out of the machine. Answer:	Yes. I sew denim, but have not used canvas as a material on this machine.

Answer:	Sorry I only sew cloth. Never tried sewing leather on it.

Answer:	I had that problem and it was due to me not having it threaded correctly. I read that the #1 cause of a bobbin jamming is due to the machine being incorrectly thread and so I started over and it fixed it - haven't had the problem since.

Answer:	Hello - I generally buy a cotton/poly blend - it is durable and quite easily found. Coates & Clarke is a vey well known brand. It would also help if you knew what kind of projects she might be undertaking...the weight of the thread varies with the task. I just googled "Brand names for sewing Threads"and there were a variety of experts writing on the subject if you want to take the exploration further...Good luck!

Answer:	I have no reference to compare how bright as I am new to sewing. However, the light is very bright and I had no difficulty seeing what I was doing.
