Answer:	This is a portable and handheld sewing machine, it has a bit different between each other. This is much for quick repair and portable use, for example, when you are out of camping or traveling, it is impossible to carry a heavy duty sewing machine along with you, it really depends on how you gonna use it. You can get both of it as I do, it will definitely meet your requirement.

Answer:	No, I was confused when I recieved the machine, and I contacted with the owner. It comes with a canvas every machines, thats for them to test the machine if it is working. They are all brand-new, you dont need to worry about this.

Answer:	Yes, even for a novice like me, after reading the manual precisely, and try to sew couples of times, I can easily handle it by myself now. However, you need to be patient if you are a freshman, do it slowly, and dont rush it hard.

Question:	Can you embroider with this machine
Answer:	Even though this machine is not an embroidery machine, you can learn to do beautiful embroidery work on it by learning free motion embroidery. In fact, one of the cool presser feet that comes with this machine is the open toe darning foot, which is a bonus!... People who wish to embroider, use this foot to do so. You Tube has many fine videos that will show you how to do free motion embroidery, on a regular machine, with just an everyday wooden hoop. Just type in free motion embroidery tutorials in the you tube search area, and you will be busy for hours, learning to this method. Enjoy!
Question:	Is this easy to use
Answer:	Depends what you want it for. Simple sewing like clothing or piecing quilt tops should be okay - putting quilts together NO! The throat is not big enough for free motion quilting and it doesn’t do well with bulky material. Your needle will snap, bobbin will have a nervous breakdown and you’ll get error codes that will make you want to pull your hair out when you try to clear them. But if you set on buying this model or the CS6000i here is the skinny - it is easy to use if you stick to the book or YouTube for help and FOLLOW the step by step instructions. It’s a cute machine for newbies but an albatross around experienced quilters necks

Answer:	Because it's a review, some reviews aren't anything more than "it sucks". But for only 150 people out of 2,000 people don't like or understand the machine, that's pretty damn good.

Answer:	This would be a GREAT machine for a beginner. I've sewn for at least 60 yrs and have had machines that cost as much as $2,000, and to me this is the best. I'm an avid believer that one should read the manual first and recommend for you to do this. You will be able to nicely grow into this machine and should have no regrets with the purchase. I love idea that you can sew without using a presser foot, but can control your stitches on the front of the machine. Love to be able to see when the bobbin is getting low, various speeds, even some decorative stitches for you. It's quiet, fun, light weight for taking to classes, or for my motorhome. Can't say enough, I JUST LOVE THIS MACHINE, it's all I could ever want. Please read the manual. Hope this helps. JMD

Answer:	Not sure. But I believe they are selling the sewing machine, under the reviews of some type of beads. Because that way it appears to have good reviews. Until you read the reviews and realize they are not for this product. This product is poorly made and doesnt work for even the simplest of projects. I do not recommend this sewing machine.

Answer:	Yes - This is one of the easiest machines to use. You will get used to the foot pedal very fast to control the speed. I have given several of these machines away as presents. I also keep two of these machines at all times.They get used of leather work, quilting and wearable art such as jackets and shirts. A great machine !!!
Question:	does this machine have foot pedal
Answer:	Yes there is a foot control but it is the Achilles Heel of the machine. I can't control the machine well with this foot pedal as it is so light weight a wind will tip it over....thus you won't get a smooth start on this machine. You press down a hear a hum and then press again and it goes full speed until you lift your foot back off the pedal. Look for another machine, or better yet try one out at a sewing machine dealer to make sure it works smoothly. My machine is going to Goodwill.
Question:	Can I use my metal bobbins in my machine or do I need to use the plastic ones
Answer:	All top load machines use plastic bobbins except for older early singers with metal bobbin case,there is a magnetic ring attached to the hook center that holds the plastic bobbin case from rattling and to slow its movement, if you use metal bobbins they become held by the magnetic transfer through the bobbin case floor (metal) and limit or restrict bobbin rotation,if you remove the magnet you can use the metal bobbins,however it will be noisey and excelarate wear on the bobbin case
Question:	can this machine sew thru heavy duty canvas or leather
Answer:	I was able to use it to repair the canvas top of my gazebo. In fact, this the primary reason I purchased it. I tried using heavy duty "canvas" rated needles, but was far more successful with smaller standard duty needles even though one of them broke. There were times I had to coax it along when there were like 3 or 4 layers, but once it was going it would just keep on sewing the entire length.

Answer:	I also was curious, and went to the website. It definitely states that it works with Windows 10. Great program. I have Embrilliance Essentials, Enthusiast, AlphaTricks and Thumbnailer. Love them all. If you don't already have any of them, I suggest you look into them. It's amazing what you can do with your existing designs. Because Embrilliance programs are very user-friendly (and affordable!), I now have my sights on StitchArtist 2.....
Question:	Does the PE800 have the ability to reverse and redo or go back over stitches in case the thread breaks
Answer:	You will be using the File Explorer that is actually on your computer. This does not use an internet browser because you are looking only at files that actually reside on your computer's hard drives. Look for the Folder icon or press the Windows key + E and File explorer will open. That is what the Thumbnailer uses. Hope that helps.

Answer:	Since designs are not stored on the software, so there is no limitations that I can see. This software allows me to see my thousands of embroidery designs in small to large icons. It works very, very well for me at a very reasonable price.
Question:	Can this machine embrodier on leather
Answer:	No. It's a software to view your designs as a thumbnail when opening a folder on your PC. So instead of just seeing the name of the file you see the actual design as an icon in your folder. It's bern a lifesaver for me because you don't have to open the design to see what it is.

Question:	use as a sewing machine
Answer:	I know this is an old question and some of my answers are repeats, but if you are still using this machine and haven't come up with an answer maybe one of the following solutions from my own experience will help you. I love this machine and therefore completed an extensive search for answers to my questions which included: Brother Support (not that helpful), studying the manual carefully & repeatedly, asking sew 'n' vac store employees and lots of Google searches. Here, in no particular order, are advice/solutions that solved my gathering/bunching issue and many other issues. 1. PROPER UPPER THREADING: Regarding threading, let me advise that the thread will jump out of the correct lineup at times so if your stitch changes in a bad way, check that first. Also, I had to use a clip over a piece of foam on the last guide before the needle guide because it popped out constantly, regardless of checking, rechecking and having others check my threading. 2. PROPER BOBBIN THREADING: I am forgetful so actually check the manual each time I thread a bobbin. Improper bobbin threading will really mess you up. 3. CORRECT NEEDLE SIZE & TYPE for specific fabric--VERY IMPORTANT!! Some of this is trial and error. Not all needle/thread guidelines I found applied to my situation. I tried Schmetz--130/705, HaX1 of 15x1--the Brother manual states this as an alternative, but Organ HLX5 (not sold locally) is best. DO NOT use the Schmetz "UNIVERSAL" needles if you are working with a fabric that specifically requires sharp or ball point. The Universal has a slight ball point--not sharp not full ball point. Learned that the hard way. 4. CORRECT THREAD FOR SIZE OF NEEDLE, TYPE OF FABRIC AND EXPECTED END RESULT. (superiorthreads.com is an awesome resource for this and many other sewing, quilting, embroidery questions. They have tons of educational articles and you can email them and receive friendly, personalized assistance for your particular situation. This is not a conflict of interest because Superior does not sell sewing machines and the articles and email support are available even if you don't purchase Amazon does sell a very few Superior products but not many.) Before Superior, I had no idea how many variables were involved in sewing and learned more about thread than I ever wanted to know, but need to know. 5. TENSION--BOTH UPPER TENSION AND BOBBIN TENSION. This is the first machine I have owned that both could be adjusted. Check manual for what correct tension should look like and how to adjust (admittedly the manual is not extremely clear). Bobbin tension is tightened or loosened by a screw at the bottom of bobbin case, and upper thread tension is adjusted by the small knob on the left side midway down. This knob has numbers, but they are essentially useless (even Brother agrees). They are there just to show the concept of righty tighty, lefty loosey--again, trial and error. 6. The LARGE DIAL TO THE RIGHT adjusts the stitch length, NOT the Tension. 7. Always keep the top thread guide pulled to maximum height, and make sure thread is coming out from the correct direction. Thread stands can also help although I have not tried one. Amazon sells these, several kinds. 8. If you use cone spools or slippery thread, you can purchase netting that will keep it from sliding and bunching at the bottom. 9. I have not yet figured out the best setting for the FEED DOG in various situations, but I do adjust it often if feeding seems difficult so far staying mostly within the light green area. Bottom line, your problem could be caused by any, all or some of the above factors. Good luck if anyone finds this answer useful. I can add photos, I think, if needed. Pretty sure this is the longest question answer I have ever written so I am not going to re-read, sorry for any typos or excess rambling.

Answer:	Throat space is the area to the right of the needle when seated at the machine. It is the open area between the needle and the vertical side of the machine that determines how much fabric might fit comfortably within that space when sewing on your project.

Answer:	Yes, there are many feet, including a walking foot. If you want a 1/4 foot with an "edge" on it, you would have to purchase one from the sewing outlet.com ($15.99). I like to sew with the edged 1/4 inch foot. Otherwise, there are many presser feet, including the free motion foot. You can drop the feed dogs to free motion. This is a great quilting machine and has excellent "pin feed," which moves the fabric through like butter. First time threading took longer for me, but after that it was free sailing.If you want to make quilts faster like I do, this is a great machine. I used to quilt with my Bernina, but I like the Brother better. It is more affordable and well made. You should also know that if you use thicker threads (I always use 100% cotton from ConnectingThreads.com), that you will need an 80/12 needle instead of the smaller ones due to the way the machine's tension is set up. Always try to read the manual, no matter you are experienced or beginners, manual will help you with better sewing experience. The manual has its own gold house. We also made accessible video with subtitle for you  to start. With these, sewing won't be difficult for you.

 

2. Wide applications on sewing fabrics

This is sewing and quilting machine, fabric no thicker than 5mm works fine with Z6 sewing machine.

Your fabric will determine the choice of a needle and thread. There is table in our manual which is a practical guide to needle and thread selection on Page 10. Always refer to it before a new sewing project. And be sure to use the same size and type of thread in the bobbin as in the top thread supply.

1. If jam happens, you can check from below aspects:

a. Top thread is not well threaded

Make sure thread pass all the slots as in the manual and retry.

b. The top thread tension is not appropriate

The bobbin tension has been correctly set at the factory, so you do not need to adjust it. Just need to adjust the top thread tension, 90% of your sewing will be done with the top thread tension control set at “4”. You can have a trial test on the fabric before start the main project.

 

2. The feed dogs don't come up

a. First, make sure the feed dog control is right in the position. When turn to right side, it is push down and then to the right, like an "L" as showing in the manual.

b. Rotate the hand wheel after switch to the feed dog side to see the feed dog raise to the right position.

c. Restart the sewing machine.

3. When want to use letter mode

a. Use Satin stitch foot (Z).

b. If you want to larger the space between letters, don't forget to use manual adjustment buttons.
