Question:	can an 8 year old use it
Answer:	The holes are not very large, even for the needles (which are plastic, by the way), so I took a small screwdriver and poked them bigger. I imagine if you did that, lace ends would work.

Answer:	There are plenty of material to use with this set. I suppose you could use other laces but I don’t know why you would want or need to replace the original materials.

Answer:	It really is designed to hand sew. It has holes punched in the felt material designed for floss to sew. I’m sure you could machine sew but it wouldn’t give the same look.

Answer:	They range in size from about 3 inches to 6 inches long/ wide, but they are not overly thick. You can't really stuff them with too much fluff, as it then becomes very difficult to sew them shut. I would say maximum thickness when done is not much more than an inch. They're really great though! My 4yr old and 8 yr old had a lot of fun putting them together, and I've gifted it to several friends with children. All gave positive feedback.

Answer:	Yes there is a bobbin and small spool of thread all works perfect 👍
Question:	Can product be used for cross stitching
Answer:	Not sure. Sample fabric only had straight test stitch. Don't think it does much more than that. Instructions are quite shady. Bought for a 9 year old who asked me to set it up. Can't seem to get bobbin to take up. Once I thought it was fed, couldn't get it to lock the stitch. Had to put it down before I threw it!
Question:	Can i use a plastic bobbin
Answer:	Plastic bobbins and metal bobbins of the same size can NOT be swapped. Machines are set for a very precise tension setting. If they are set for a lighter plastic bobbin, the tension will change if a heavier metal bobbin is used. I recommend using all materials provided with the sew mighty.
