Answer:	This is an update to my previous answer, I finally figured out how to get static color and face value of the keys back, it's still rainbow, not a single color (FN Del or Ins - just before I was getting ready to throw it out the window!!). There are a multitude of keyboard lighting effects that change the "lightshow" on the rainbow keys (spiral, rain, brightness etc.) Personally I don't find any of it useful, flat out distracting - perhaps you'll like it.
