Answer:	Just received mine. The inside hard base sits inside the bag measurements and is 12" square. The bag measures 12.5 wide x 12 deep x 13.5 high. Quality seams but need to fashion an inside frame to protect the thread guide hanger, extension bar, and spool pin/supporters. The black straps wrap all the way down and under for support. Lifting with the handles will damage the back and right side without creating cushioned walls. Using the bag for a Riccar 564DE Serger.

If you research Brother serger knives online you will find that there are some blades, both upper and lower, that can fit a few of the models but certainly not all. Make sure the knives are listed as specifically being able to fit a Brother 920D.

Answer:	Hello - I generally buy a cotton/poly blend - it is durable and quite easily found. Coates & Clarke is a vey well known brand. It would also help if you knew what kind of projects she might be undertaking...the weight of the thread varies with the task. I just googled "Brand names for sewing Threads"and there were a variety of experts writing on the subject if you want to take the exploration further...Good luck!
