Answer:	The blue cover is removable via a zipper, and the cover is machine washable. I'm not sure if the white one has a cover. You aren't supposed to wash foam pillows in the washing machine, only spot clean. I'm not sure, but foam pillows can probably be washed by hand, if done carefully. Foam tends to disintegrate when roughly handled.

Answer:	It's a concave pillow approx 10 1/2 inches from bottom point of heart to outside upper part of each "wing." From bottom point to center low top part of heart is about 9 inches. Outside measure for upper points on "wings" approx 5 1/2 inches reducing to about 3 inches at center top, rising some, then lowering to bottom point. Good product.

Question:	Could you use a clip of some sort to hold the pages open
Answer:	I'm not sure how, unless the book is tall and you could attach it from the top. You could get some weights designed especially for holding books open, but most hard-backed books stay open pretty well because the ledge is deep enough and I have it at an angle enough that gravity helps.
Question:	I have a book that is 3 in thick and 8 1/2 in wide (~2500 pages). Will this stand be able to accommodate a book with such dimensions
Answer:	We think so. The "lip" (which is the part that holds your book) is about 1" deep. The panel is about 18" wide by 11" tall. The weight capacity is under 13 lbs. We've tested this ergonomic reading stand with a variety of books (even those seemingly 8-ton medical school books) and it works out just fine.
Question:	when you read thick textbooks or paperbacks, does it keep the pages open effectively and how quick/easy is it to turn pages
Answer:	I have read 1000 page books very comfortably on this book reader. I used it daily and it is great. The only negative thing I would have to say about it is it does not have page holders like a desk book holder. You have to have a finger on the pages to keep them from folding in, especially when you are reading a thick book. I love it though. I hope this helps

Answer:	Didn't try is, but don't why it would not stay put. I do enjoy using it, my arms get tired holding a book, but mostly use my Kindle to read.

Answer:	Once it is in place on your lap or a table. It is hands free, BUT you have to turn a page with your hands. I like it a lot, and I have some arthritis, but I think it depends on how bad the arthritis is!
Question:	What is the inside filling of the pillow
Answer:	I really don't know about the inside; I love the convenience of this pillow with its 4 "valleys" where I can place my stylus, and pockets to place notes in. And the braided leash is perfect for bringing the pillow and my iPad into my lap from a tabletop. The inside of the pillow is well secured by sewing, and I've never seen what it might be. If you choose this pillow you may never see the insides unless you purposefully cut into it to discover what it might be, it is that secure.
Question:	Are there pockets on the burgundy, sage, and blue pillow? I only see them on the eggplant and taupe
Answer:	The blu pillow I purchased on Amazon for my daughter has two pockets, one each on opposite sides of the pillow.

Question:	How does this work compared to the scarecrow? need to keep a herring out of my Koi pond
Answer:	I have used this on my Koi pond for many years now with great success. So I don't get sprayed during the day.... my water supply has a battery timer.... The timer is set for 10PM tp 8 AM..... so simple..... works great and I can set the time for it to work.
Question:	There seems to be an additional part in my package that is about 2" long and 1" high that is not part of assembly instructions. Any clue as to what this is
Answer:	The extra item drove me nuts for about 30 minutes. Until i figured out that it is simply a screw on replacement part so the "helmet head sensor" can be mounted by sliding the square part on the "valve square front. This lowers the "Helmet sensor" to be about eye level with like a rabbit or cat. Simply unscrew the all black small round knob that is on the "helmet sensor" remove the screw and remove the piece you just detached (the 4 inch bracket that has a round hole that would normally fit the vertical pipe shaft. Now replace that 4 inch part with the smaller 2 inch long part that has a square end and a round end. Push the screw thru the round end and into your "helmet sensor" (it only fits one way), then hook it/slide it onto the sensors square front. The "helmet sensor" now just sits there, not exactly a secured in a long term way but i guess it works.
Question:	What happens if a human steps on the lawn? Will that turn on and spray on a person? I don't want it ends up spraying on myself
Answer:	Yes, if you trigger the motion detection, and you are in the area of spray, you will get sprayed, just like a deer or rabbit would. If you need to be there and don't want to get sprayed, you will need to turn it off temporarily.
Question:	Will it work on mailmen delivering bills
Answer:	Shannon, yes it will work on things as large as humans, though we can't promise that they won't return with said bills at a later date.

Answer:	I know this is an old question and some of my answers are repeats, but if you are still using this machine and haven't come up with an answer maybe one of the following solutions from my own experience will help you. I love this machine and therefore completed an extensive search for answers to my questions which included: Brother Support (not that helpful), studying the manual carefully & repeatedly, asking sew 'n' vac store employees and lots of Google searches. Here, in no particular order, are advice/solutions that solved my gathering/bunching issue and many other issues. 1. PROPER UPPER THREADING: Regarding threading, let me advise that the thread will jump out of the correct lineup at times so if your stitch changes in a bad way, check that first. Also, I had to use a clip over a piece of foam on the last guide before the needle guide because it popped out constantly, regardless of checking, rechecking and having others check my threading. 2. PROPER BOBBIN THREADING: I am forgetful so actually check the manual each time I thread a bobbin. Improper bobbin threading will really mess you up. 3. CORRECT NEEDLE SIZE & TYPE for specific fabric--VERY IMPORTANT!! Some of this is trial and error. Not all needle/thread guidelines I found applied to my situation. I tried Schmetz--130/705, HaX1 of 15x1--the Brother manual states this as an alternative, but Organ HLX5 (not sold locally) is best. DO NOT use the Schmetz "UNIVERSAL" needles if you are working with a fabric that specifically requires sharp or ball point. The Universal has a slight ball point--not sharp not full ball point. Learned that the hard way. 4. CORRECT THREAD FOR SIZE OF NEEDLE, TYPE OF FABRIC AND EXPECTED END RESULT. (superiorthreads.com is an awesome resource for this and many other sewing, quilting, embroidery questions. They have tons of educational articles and you can email them and receive friendly, personalized assistance for your particular situation. This is not a conflict of interest because Superior does not sell sewing machines and the articles and email support are available even if you don't purchase Amazon does sell a very few Superior products but not many.) Before Superior, I had no idea how many variables were involved in sewing and learned more about thread than I ever wanted to know, but need to know. 5. TENSION--BOTH UPPER TENSION AND BOBBIN TENSION. This is the first machine I have owned that both could be adjusted. Check manual for what correct tension should look like and how to adjust (admittedly the manual is not extremely clear). Bobbin tension is tightened or loosened by a screw at the bottom of bobbin case, and upper thread tension is adjusted by the small knob on the left side midway down. This knob has numbers, but they are essentially useless (even Brother agrees). They are there just to show the concept of righty tighty, lefty loosey--again, trial and error. 6. The LARGE DIAL TO THE RIGHT adjusts the stitch length, NOT the Tension. 7. Always keep the top thread guide pulled to maximum height, and make sure thread is coming out from the correct direction. Thread stands can also help although I have not tried one. Amazon sells these, several kinds. 8. If you use cone spools or slippery thread, you can purchase netting that will keep it from sliding and bunching at the bottom. 9. I have not yet figured out the best setting for the FEED DOG in various situations, but I do adjust it often if feeding seems difficult so far staying mostly within the light green area. Bottom line, your problem could be caused by any, all or some of the above factors. Good luck if anyone finds this answer useful. I can add photos, I think, if needed. Pretty sure this is the longest question answer I have ever written so I am not going to re-read, sorry for any typos or excess rambling.

Answer:	Throat space is the area to the right of the needle when seated at the machine. It is the open area between the needle and the vertical side of the machine that determines how much fabric might fit comfortably within that space when sewing on your project.

Answer:	Yes, there are many feet, including a walking foot. If you want a 1/4 foot with an "edge" on it, you would have to purchase one from the sewing outlet.com ($15.99). I like to sew with the edged 1/4 inch foot. Otherwise, there are many presser feet, including the free motion foot. You can drop the feed dogs to free motion. This is a great quilting machine and has excellent "pin feed," which moves the fabric through like butter. First time threading took longer for me, but after that it was free sailing.If you want to make quilts faster like I do, this is a great machine. I used to quilt with my Bernina, but I like the Brother better. It is more affordable and well made. You should also know that if you use thicker threads (I always use 100% cotton from ConnectingThreads.com), that you will need an 80/12 needle instead of the smaller ones due to the way the machine's tension is set up.
