Answer:	The frame as you see it is solid and four additional pipes, two small and two longer lengths, snap over the quilt that is drapped over the frame. Looking at the end of these pipes they form the letter "C". Hint; too make the quilt taught rotate these "C pipes" outward on all four sides.

Answer:	It is for hand quilting.

Answer:	I'm sorry I don't know because I don't have it set up right now, but it was a good size for the quilt I worked on last year and for my space. The frame is not too big, light weight and easy to move around, yet gives you enough space to hand stitch/quilt or tie your quilt. Hope that helps. You can put a chair up to it comfortably.

Snap Clamps are used to attach tarps, shade cloth, netting, or other material to pipe. Some applications include greenhouses, row covers, shelters, bird protection, dog beds, and quilting frames.



Two types of clamps are available, both made out of ABS: an HD snap clamp for long term use and an EZ snap clamp for light duty, or frequent use on and off. ABS clamps have a higher temperature resistance compared to a PVC snap clamp, allowing it to keep it's gripping power for a long time. Snap Clamps are heat sensitive and may lose gripping strength if exposed to temperatures greater than 140 degrees F.



Clamp size is based on the inside diameter of the PVC pipe it clips on. When used on conduit, poly pipe, or other pipe measured by outside dimensions, use 1/4" smaller Snap Clamp (i.e. 1" poly pipe would take a 3/4" Snap Clamp).

Answer:	I only have used it to hand quilt. I do free motion quilt but am not sure if it would work. Normally our fabric slides on the flat bed. Maybe it would. Get one at Joann’s at 50 off and give it a try. If it doesn’t work and you are not a hand quilter, you could try big stitch quilting. My daughter used hers for that.

Answer:	I do not find the Quilt-N-Go awkward to use. I have three sizes of this plastic frame to accommodate the different size projects I quilt. Question:	does the size of frame have to be precise for fabric? I have 12x14 project, 5x7 and 17x
Answer:	Yes. This frame comes with a wooden “Yoke” that is the U shaped wooden piece that holds the 18” hoop. It also comes with the 18” hoop. The hoop is removable, however you would not be able to use a frame other than 18” due to the size of the yoke. You would absolutly be able to use the 18” hoop without the frame.

Tips before using

Prior to first use, it is recommended that you slide out the clamps from the tubes and assure of the tightness needed for your specific material. Clamps can be forced open or shut, which may be necessary if you plan on using a thick or thin fabric without affect to the hold.

Using methods

To use, remove the clips from the frame, lay the fabric over the frame and gently place the clips over the fabric then push down to secure over the tube. The ribbed inner surface of the clamps hold the tension for your preferred adjustment. Simply rotate the clips outwards to tighten, and inwards to release the tension. Work can be moved around to give the option of stitching larger designs. The frame can be wiped clean using warm soapy water. Very easy to use.

Answer:	If you are asking me how I justify spending $70 on an organizer then it's easy. I don't spend money every day on fancy coffees from a shop, I don't eat take out as much as cooking myself, I clip coupons and budget so I can spend money on the things that are important to me. If you are asking how Enhance can justify charging $70 for their product, I must first ask if you have done your research? I did, and I can tell you there aren't many...or any...organizers that hold as much and do as much as this one. Most "organizers" are merely dice holders with a rolling area. There is one that is similar to this, but cheaper. However it does not have the same capacity nor can hold books. This organizer is very well made, and very well designed. They are charging what the market will bear for a product that is unique, well designed, and uses quality materials. No one needs to justify what or why something is priced a certain amount. You need to decide for yourself what it is worth to you. You were probably looking for a more pragmatic answer, or just being snide. But seriously; things are only worth what you are willing to pay. If you don't want to pay it, it's not worth it to you.

Question:	what size would you use for 1 inch conduit pipe holding a tarp
Answer:	The included PVC pipe is 48" long. I've replaced the PVC pipe with 8' conduit, therefore it is possible to change the size of the frame to suit your convenience by purchasing PVC pipe or conduit in your desired width.

Answer:	I have an older singer model 5932 and it works fine.
Question:	Do these clamps fit 1 3/8" galvanized top rail for a hoop house
Answer:	I bought the Flynn Portable quilting unit and have used it a number of times. The first time I used it, I used the pipes that were included in my purchase. As I got more used to the concept of quilting this way instead of pinning a quilt together, rolling it up and stuffing it in my home machine, I started to experiment. The pipes that come with it allow for a certain size quilt and I wanted to use this for a king sized quilt, so I bought long PVC pipe at the hardware store and made longer poles so that now I can make any sized quilt using this system. I've had good luck with it and like it so much better than pinning the 3 layers of a quilt together! It takes a little getting used to as does anything new, but I wouldn't go back to the old way again. I think you will like it a lot!
Question:	When you are measuring for these clamps do you measure the in side of the pipe or outside
Answer:	It works OK -- however, the distance between the rolled up quilt in the "throat" of the machine and the needle is minimal at best. Never more than 3 or 4 inches on my machine, and less as I get more of the quilt rolled onto that "top" rod. I now use the Flynn Frame to thoroughly baste all of the layers together then I remove the quilt from the frame and quilt the permanent stitches. I'm a lazy quilter, so I baste with water soluble thread and wash it away when the quilt is finished. I will continue using the frame because, if I set it up exactly as instructed I get a quilt with a nice smooth back while paying attention to what the top looks like.

Answer:	Hi, this clamp has an internal diameter of 1.52 inches or 40mm. It is designed to snuggly fit 1 1/4 inch PVC pipes which typically have an outside diameter of 1.66 inches or 42mm. I hope this answers your question.
