Answer:	Longer plates won't matter, it's the width that counts.

Answer:	I don't know that machine, but if the opening is 6-1/8" it should be okay. Be sure to see Spellbinders' instruction video on-line for how to add shims!

Answer:	You can use regular dies with this machine, but you'll have to figure out what sandwich will work best for the die.
Question:	What kind of connector do you get to use cartridges with this
Answer:	You can use hard dies with this one. It's not a laminator. It heats up, you lay your die down and then your card stock. After heating the foil adheres to the die by running it through your die cutting machine. It will not cut out the die but leaves the foiling where the die meets the cardstock. Hope this helps.

Answer:	Yes they are iron on. But with the iron you have to run very hot.
Question:	Can you actually take out the stickers and place them somewhere else
Answer:	You'll either need to cut one layer at a time or find a way to non-permanently stick the layers of fabric together. Unfortunately you won't get much success without making the fabric stick to either the mat or itself. If you just folded over the fabric and tried to cut, the fabric would shift during cutting and end up with poor results.

Answer:	Yes, this is the Cricut Maker which is the latest model. It will cut 2mm thick or less with balsa or basswood!

Answer:	You can hand draw. They are a little thick so sometimes you have to press a little harder or use a darker color, but I have used a variety of colors of colored pencils and it works. I am not sure about markers.

Answer:	No you cannot trade them in to my knowledge. I put mine cartridges in my recycle bin since my community recycles.

Answer:	They have different cartridges for different machines. Some will laminate. I just use mine for making stickers so it's just sticky on one side. It's also a great way to make cheap glitter paper. Just sprinkle on the sticky side and then run it back through again on the other side.

Answer:	This machine has different cartridges available. The adhesive option will apply adhesive to the back of whatever you run through the machine, creating a sticker/label. Please be advised that our adhesive is water soluble, so it cannot get wet. You can run items up to 5 inches wide through the machine.

Answer:	You can't use the double laminate cartridge to laminate both sides and then apply adhesive to the back, as the adhesive will not adhere to the laminate. You could use the laminate/adhesive cartridge to apply laminate to the top and adhesive to the back. This is cartridge item # 5102-08-00ML.

Question:	why do u have to rub it and what if the clear layer u take off rips the picture off
Answer:	You can save them as long as you don't peel them off of the strip they are stuck on when you crank them out.
Question:	after using it, it got stuck. How can I fix it
Answer:	Sure it would work, but let me explain one thing about these little plastic machines: They thread a tape of stickyback that is about 2 inches wide or so. So if you are feeding something into it that is really tiny, it is going to be a headache. Although the truth is that I have stuck ALL KINDS OF THINGS THROUGH THESE including plastic jiggly eyes and furry fabric. The bigger the thing is you wanna make sticky (within these size limitations) the easier it is. But it absolutely will *not* rip the paper unless you are using something like tissue paper. In fact the business-card items I have shoved through worked best. Hope you have an excellent time.

Answer:	I guess I misunderstood the term "sticker paper" - no, you do not need anything other than the roller paper that comes with the Xyron.
Question:	What adhesive do I buy when I run out
Answer:	You can reduce waste by positioning the machine so that you can see the area as your item comes out and stop cranking the lever as soon as it has cleared the machine. If you have multiple items to put through the machine you can feed them in so the emerge in a continuous strip, placing each item very close behind the end of the preceding item. This method also reduces waste. Small/narrow items can be placed side by side and run through that way also.
