Question:	Can i use with a window based computer or does it have to be a MAC
Answer:	We just got out of a Cricut class tonight, 10/14/2019) at a local Michaels. We (my wife and I) both downloaded the DesignSpace software in class from the Cricut website to our Windows 10 laptops and after downloading a small Windows add-in, were able to launch DesignSpace, create and cut projects successfully from out laptops. We also had out Apple iPads and downloaded the Apple Store DesignSpace app and had no problem using them to design and cut. Can’t speak about the Mac though...
Question:	I am looking to get my first Cricut machine. Will the faster speed matter or should I save some money and get the previous version to learn on
Answer:	The only difference between the air1 and air2 is the speed of the cut and the color options for the machines. I have the air2 and I honestly haven't even tried the faster cutting option because I've been cutting really delicate things and I was afraid that it would rip the material at a faster speed. I guess this question depends on how much you would use it and for what. I don't, by any means, think the air1 is "slow".

Answer:	Through personal experience, the Cricut Design Space software let’s you upload svg files, but not ai or eps. The best advice for cutting images from Illustrator is to use a USCutter instead, it uses a software called Sure Cuts A Lot and works with alot of file types (ai, eps, svg)

Answer:	tool set, other different blades, pens, scoring tool. There are a lot of accessories you can buy, but these are the ones I need to make the cards I want to.

Answer:	If you upload your own pattern (pieced together before upload to design space), and it's under 12x24, yes. So it would work for a bodice with princess seams, a gored/sectioned skirt that's under 24", cap or short sleeves, and various other smaller apparel pieces. So it wouldn't take all cutting out of the picture, but you'll get more done in the time you take since you'll be cutting multiple pieces at once. But unless they come out with longer mats, it's unlikely that it could cut pants, though shorts could be feasible.
Question:	Can it cut patterns for adult clothes like pants, skirts, blouse, shirts, etc
Answer:	Yes - I have used it in my Big Shot. However... Be sure that your cutting pads are newer (and flat) otherwise the magnetic pull isn't as strong. I used this product for my Christmas cards and after experiencing the problem above, purchased The Genius Platform system. It was wonderful, didn't cut into the cutting pads and had no issues with the magnetic platform. I would recommend this product over the Sizzix one.

Answer:	It’s one package of three mats. The mats are individually wrapped so that’s why it’s listed that way. But it’s a total of 3 mats.

Answer:	I'm sure they could to whatever size you want to cut them to, as long as you have the correct scissors, but they won't cut on a Cricut correctly if they're not 12 inches side to side. The mat will be pulled into the machine in a crooked fashion, causing issues with cutting. If you own the original Cricut machine, made over 10 years ago, that used 6 x 12 mats, you could cut this down the middle and potentially use this as two mats for the original Cricut machine. However, the machines that are currently supported by Cricut only support 12 inch wide mats.
Question:	Do these have a strong odor when new
Answer:	YES!!! Odor. But only when the clear plastic cover is off. I wait till last min to take off cover and as soon as my project is cut, I immediately replace plastic. Everything else is good.

Answer:	In response to your question, I took a heavy cardboard box that had been used to ship produce and tried to cut it. I cut the cardboard into several pieces and it cut smoothly but with a slight resistance (a little more force than with plain paper). Accordingly, within the dimensions of the cutting board and guard, you should have no problems.

Answer:	Not more then one sheet of card stock. I woke at a restaurant and it’s not capable of cutting more then one piece of 65lb cardstock for our menus without causing fraying of the edge. Not very professional.

Question:	How does it match up with the print outs on my paper to accurately cut out what is printed? Or is that not something it can do
Answer:	There are two ways that you can "print and cut". One is by using a special new mat called the PixScan that is available for it, and an app that goes with it on your phone. With that you can cut around anything...it doesn't have to be something you printed from the Silhouette software. It can be a stamped image, or handwriting, or whatever. The other way is by creating the file in Silhouette's Design Studio software and then adding registration marks to your document before printing it. The machine reads these to orient itself on the paper when you feed the paper into the Portrait to cut.
Question:	Can you use 8 1/2" paper even if it only cuts 8" or would you need to trim your paper to
Answer:	I have put 8 1/2 by 11 paper on the mat. You just cannot see all the numbers on the side but you do not have to cut it to 8 inches. Hope this helps. I absolutely love my Silhouette and I still do not even know how to use have of the items yet.

Answer:	Not the software that comes with it. However you can buy Silhouette Connect software for $40 which allows you to cut directly in Adobe Illustrator. Would highly recommend using that program if you know Illustrator.
Question:	What will the Cameo do that the Portrait will not do
Answer:	I had purchased the Portrait, but found I was limited on what I could create since it's width is just 8 inches wide. Most of the paper or vinyl I wanted to use with the Portrait were at least 8 1/2 inches wide. So I bought the Cameo and I'm very happy with it. Other than the width limitation, they both operate the same way.

Answer:	It is a "shim" that's necessary for cutting wafer thins but it comes with the Vagabond when you buy it. Good youtubes to watch are put out by Scrapbooking made Simple. Love my vagabond 2!

Answer:	I have had no trouble with many brands of thin, intricate dies. All of the brands may have issues with cutting completely, but it's the dies that are the issue, not the Vagabond. Go to YouTube to get suggestions for solving this issue...placing dies closer go the edges, using additional paper or scotch tape shims, etc. I bought the Vagabond 2 because my original Vagabond, nearly 10 years old, gave up the ghost after thousands of cuts. I love my Vagabond and would recommend it highly.

Answer:	Yes...it is quieter and less likely to jam. My old Vagabond got knocked on the floor by my cat and just quit working. The improvements are significant. but I wouldn't replace a working Vagabond with this one...As long as your machine works, use it.

We do sell the LX610 Color Label Printer with Built-in Die Cutter that prints the label and cuts it out to any shape. The LX610 also offers pigment ink which is more durable when paired with a synthetic material. Changing Cricut Blades

1. Remove the blade housing from your Cricut Explore or Cricut Maker: Open Clamp B and remove the blade housing.

2. For Fine-Point, Premium Fine-Point, Deep Point, and Deep-Cut Blades: Gently push the pin on the top of the housing and carefully pull out the blade from the bottom.

3. Remove the protective cover from the new blade.

4. Insert the new blade into the housing. The magnet in the housing will hold the new blade in place.

5. Replace the blade housing into your Cricut Explore or Cricut Maker then return the blade housing to Clamp B and close it.

Cricut Rotary Blade

The Cricut Maker Rotary Blade brings precision fabric cutting to the world of home sewing crafts for the first time. With its gliding, rolling action, this unique blade cuts through virtually any fabric quickly and accurately.

Use with fabrics and other soft, delicate, or less-dense materials, such as tissue paper and cork. Use an image size of 3/4" or larger when using the rotary blade. Smaller images than this may cause the blade to scrape as it tries to make a small turn, which may leave a gouge in your mat.

With the increased downforce available, the rotary blade and Kraft blade can cut materials that were not previously available to cut with a Cameo cutter. The Rotary Blade for Cameo 4 provides an alternate method of cutting by having the blade roll across your material. This enables you to cut a variety of specialty material—including cotton fabrics, leather, felt, wool, and more—without a special stabilizer backing. The 3mm Kraft Blade for the Cameo 4 allows you to cut specialty craft materials, such as acetate, craft foam, burlap, and leather. The 3 mm depth is designed specifically to take advantage of the increased clearance the Cameo 4 has to cut even thicker materials. Please note the Kraft Blade and the Rotary Blade are sold separately. With the new carriage the Cameo is now on the same level as the Maker. The Cameo 4 is also cheaper by $100 in comparison. The Cameo 4 has a clearance of 3mm, which allows for thicker materials to be cut. The Cameo 4 also has an industry first of cutting many materials without a cutting mat this new feature allows for cutting paper, card stock and other materials without a cutting mat. AutoBlade for Cameo 4

This Silhouette AutoBlade 2 is available exclusively for the Cameo 4. With the AutoBlade, you don’t have to manually adjust your blade! Simply let your machine do all the work for you. The Silhouette Studio software program will provide recommended cut settings for common material types, and you can adjust them in the software as desired. Then, when you send your design to your Silhouette, your machine will automatically adjust your AutoBlade to the blade setting you chose in the software.

Punch Tool for Cameo 4

With the Punch Tool for Cameo 4, you can have the Cameo 4 create weeding points for your vinyl and heat transfer projects. When you insert the Punch Tool into the Cameo 4, the software will prompt you to choose whether you want to weed the negative space (like for a vinyl decal) or the positive space (like for a stencil). Your Punch Tool (Cameo 4) will then go and create weeding points to make weeding vinyl or heat transfer easier and faster.

CAMEO 4 with Built In Roll Feeder

The all new CAMEO 4 now features a built in roll feeder. Since select rolled materials (such as vinyl and heat transfer material) have their own backing, they generally do not require a cutting mat and can be fed directly into the Silhouette cutting machine. The Roll Feeder provides an easy and convenient way to hold rolled material as it is being fed into the Silhouette cutting machine, thus allowing you the convenience of cutting longer jobs while properly aligning your material so that it is straight as it feeds through the machine.

Built In Cross Cutter

On the back of the Cameo 4 You will find a built in cross cutter allowing for a clean straight edge cut on your vinyl roll for your next project.
