Answer:	I apologize you are experiencing a power issue with your Brother SDX125. Here are steps that may help. Please verify the AC power cord is connected to the AC power jack, and also verify the AC power cord is plugged into an electrical outlet. If the problem continues verify you have powered on the machine using the on/off key located on the operation panel. If the machine still does not have power, do one of the following: - Connect the Brother machine to another, known-working outlet. - Verify the electrical outlet is working by plugging a known-working device-such as a lamp or radio-directly into the same outlet. If that device does not work, the problem is related to the outlet or circuit.You may also need to check for tripped circuit breaker. If a wall switch controls the outlet, verify that the switch is ON. Please contact customer service if your issue continues.

Question:	Can i use with a window based computer or does it have to be a MAC
Answer:	We just got out of a Cricut class tonight, 10/14/2019) at a local Michaels. We (my wife and I) both downloaded the DesignSpace software in class from the Cricut website to our Windows 10 laptops and after downloading a small Windows add-in, were able to launch DesignSpace, create and cut projects successfully from out laptops. We also had out Apple iPads and downloaded the Apple Store DesignSpace app and had no problem using them to design and cut. Can’t speak about the Mac though...
Question:	I am looking to get my first Cricut machine. Will the faster speed matter or should I save some money and get the previous version to learn on
Answer:	The only difference between the air1 and air2 is the speed of the cut and the color options for the machines. I have the air2 and I honestly haven't even tried the faster cutting option because I've been cutting really delicate things and I was afraid that it would rip the material at a faster speed. I guess this question depends on how much you would use it and for what. I don't, by any means, think the air1 is "slow".

Answer:	Through personal experience, the Cricut Design Space software let’s you upload svg files, but not ai or eps. The best advice for cutting images from Illustrator is to use a USCutter instead, it uses a software called Sure Cuts A Lot and works with alot of file types (ai, eps, svg)

The software can also import image file types (JPG, PNG, BMP, GIF and TIF Files) and then trace the image using an auto-trade function to create cut lines. Upgraded version of Studio software can import additional file types. Silhouette Studio Designer edition can import SVG and PDF files. Answer:	I have had no trouble with many brands of thin, intricate dies. All of the brands may have issues with cutting completely, but it's the dies that are the issue, not the Vagabond. Go to YouTube to get suggestions for solving this issue...placing dies closer go the edges, using additional paper or scotch tape shims, etc. I bought the Vagabond 2 because my original Vagabond, nearly 10 years old, gave up the ghost after thousands of cuts. I love my Vagabond and would recommend it highly.

Answer:	Yes...it is quieter and less likely to jam. My old Vagabond got knocked on the floor by my cat and just quit working. The improvements are significant. but I wouldn't replace a working Vagabond with this one...As long as your machine works, use it.

Answer:	If you upload your own pattern (pieced together before upload to design space), and it's under 12x24, yes. So it would work for a bodice with princess seams, a gored/sectioned skirt that's under 24", cap or short sleeves, and various other smaller apparel pieces. So it wouldn't take all cutting out of the picture, but you'll get more done in the time you take since you'll be cutting multiple pieces at once. But unless they come out with longer mats, it's unlikely that it could cut pants, though shorts could be feasible.
Question:	Can it cut patterns for adult clothes like pants, skirts, blouse, shirts, etc
Answer:	Yes - I have used it in my Big Shot. However... Be sure that your cutting pads are newer (and flat) otherwise the magnetic pull isn't as strong. I used this product for my Christmas cards and after experiencing the problem above, purchased The Genius Platform system. It was wonderful, didn't cut into the cutting pads and had no issues with the magnetic platform. I would recommend this product over the Sizzix one.

Question:	How does it match up with the print outs on my paper to accurately cut out what is printed? Or is that not something it can do
Answer:	There are two ways that you can "print and cut". One is by using a special new mat called the PixScan that is available for it, and an app that goes with it on your phone. With that you can cut around anything...it doesn't have to be something you printed from the Silhouette software. It can be a stamped image, or handwriting, or whatever. The other way is by creating the file in Silhouette's Design Studio software and then adding registration marks to your document before printing it. The machine reads these to orient itself on the paper when you feed the paper into the Portrait to cut.
Question:	Can you use 8 1/2" paper even if it only cuts 8" or would you need to trim your paper to
Answer:	I have put 8 1/2 by 11 paper on the mat. You just cannot see all the numbers on the side but you do not have to cut it to 8 inches. Hope this helps. I absolutely love my Silhouette and I still do not even know how to use have of the items yet.
Question:	Will the software that comes with this print .ai files? Is there other software that will print out designs for this printer
Answer:	Not the software that comes with it. However you can buy Silhouette Connect software for $40 which allows you to cut directly in Adobe Illustrator. Would highly recommend using that program if you know Illustrator.
Question:	What will the Cameo do that the Portrait will not do
Answer:	I had purchased the Portrait, but found I was limited on what I could create since it's width is just 8 inches wide. Most of the paper or vinyl I wanted to use with the Portrait were at least 8 1/2 inches wide. So I bought the Cameo and I'm very happy with it. Other than the width limitation, they both operate the same way.

Answer:	Absolutely! You can put a whole sheet of cardstock through and unable to do that with the big shot, you can also cut more dies at a time if you are doing several for a card or scrapbooking

Answer:	No, it does not come with a rubber mat or texture pad. It comes with the platform, A & B plates and two clear cutting plates. I am able to use the rubber pad and creasing pad, which I purchased separately, for my regular Big Shot and it works fine. Note: I noticed that the plus machine has a lot more pressure and it leaves an impression of the die on the top clear plate when used together with the new precision (metal) cutting plate. It also warped my wafer thin die. I think it would have been ok had I not used the precision cutting plate.

Answer:	Yes, you can use magnetic board, or any other boards that fit big kick or big shot in this machine. I Used the magnetic board, the clear plate on top, my die -blade up, paper on top and then the clear cutting board. This board will go the long way into Big Shot because it is 9" wide. I did learn that if you slant your dies on the magnet they cut out nicer. Folks PLEASE go to YOUTUBE.com and ask for Big Shot Plus tutorials. You will learn alot.
