Answer:	This product is formulated to clean, shine and protect automotive chrome pate without being abrasive. On aged or distressed chrome, it would be recommended to test in an inconspicuous area if that's possible, but it is a gentle polish and on chrome plate that is intact is is completely safe. Keep in mind that this is an automotive polish and not a household polish, but the chrome plated metal process would be the same on either. Question:	Is dis good for removing rain spots off chrome rims
Answer:	This is cotton wadding that has been treated with some oil based solvent (something like WD-40?) I once got a can of this in a grocery store auto section but it was dried out and it is useless then. It will turn black as it removes the oxidation but just keep re-folding it to expose clean areas. You can get a lot of mileage out of this stuff. I'm a fan and have used it mostly on chrome. It will also take dried tar of non-ferrous metals . I did use it on old alloy wheels - mostly aluminum, right? - and they went from dull grey to reflecting my hand almost like chrome. I keep Q-Tips in the can and they absorb some of the solvent for use in small areas. But I think the shining effect is less dramatic when the surface is not really smooth to start with - like screen door frames. My alloy wheels probably came out of the factory buffed and smooth as a baby's butt. It is a lot of manual rubbing tho. It dries to a white residue then comes off easily with terrycloth. You'll probably want to wear gloves cause it's oily but not caustic in any way.

Answer:	This can remove iron particles from your paint as well as clean your wheels. Do not let it dry on the wheels or on the paint. You won't have problems if you rinse it off before it drys. Also, never apply to a hot surface. Make sure you are in the shade and the car and wheels are cool. I've used it on both wheels and to decontaminate my paint without any problems.

Answer:	Yes its safe on both and will protect the items from oxidizing as quickly. Make sure you use a soft cloth like microfiber so you don't scratch the surface with the cloth of choice. Chrome is very soft and scratches very easy and can't take scratches out of chrome due to the fact it is a plated item. Answer:	All I can say is wow. I am restoring several old light fixtures (100 years old and never cleaned). I thought at first that it wasn't working on my what I thought were brass fixtures. They were just so horribly dirty and tarnished that I wasn't sure what I would find! First they turned black, then silver colored, then copper colored, and then finally brass! They were still dull, but polished right up with some Brasso (guess I could've used Flitz polish) and a buffing pad on my Dremel, without literally hours of scrubbing. I let some of the longer chains soak for a bit. Wish I could post a picture because it really is a miracle tarnish remover. Still need to polish, but this stuff worked great at cutting through the tarnish. There was one fixture that I gave up on when I thought the Flitz was too strong and ruining it and painted it. Now that I know better, I'm going to take the paint off and return it to its original luster. Just ordered two more bottles!

Question:	Anyone have success using this on pewter
Answer:	First off I'm not sure of your particular use but I can say I use this product on the various metal parts from chrome to handles on my Harley Sporter including all chrome engine components. Success is a small measure of response for me. This polish works very well takes out scratches and imperfections and brings a mirror finish to everything. Good luck it works for me.
Question:	Is it safe to use on a Stainless steel stove top
Answer:	I would not use it unless you check first with the manufacturer. Most stainless steel has a finish which could be marred or changed by the mild abrasives in the polish.

Answer:	Try 0000 steel wool first. If that doesn't work go to 1500 grit wet sandpaper. Finish with semichrome.

Answer:	However, it will also put a protective film over the bare metal. I polished my cases on my 79 Yamaha XS650 Twin, until they shined like chrome. It lasts for quite some time, but you do have to keep polishing it, but it never returned to the OEM, 39 year old crappy clear coat and oxidation look...... I have 4 29 year old mags on my 89 Prelude, and Im taking Simichrome to them as soon as I get the tube.....

Answer:	I'm using it to polish a vintage trailer which is totally different than most other applications. So far,it has been shiny in the areas I'm using it.

Answer:	Metal polish does not work on anodized metal, such as your screen door.
Question:	Does this product remove oxidation from aluminum parts of a car engine
Answer:	It should. I've used it mainly on stainless steel parts on my boat, but have used it on aluminum framing on a "bimini top", and it worked well on that. One thing to consider, on the car parts the oxidation may have been heated from the engine and be more stubborn.
Question:	Used the wrong wheel cleaner and hazed the polished lip on my 3 piece wheels, is this what I use to reshine them
Answer:	I am going to conditionally say yes, that it will polish your wheels. The condition being how deeply the aluminum was attacked by the cleaner. It may take some work to polish through that layer. I suggest using a folder paper towel to polish the wheel and a soft micro towel to clean it after. Works GREAT on my wheels.

Answer:	Probably not. I don't believe Renaissance was meant for surfaces with the wear & tear of a sink. Try a more metal-specific polish like Flitz, which is milder than Simichrome but holds up well. I don't know if lacquering the copper (like brass) will work ... research it first.
