Answer:	You choose the size of 'dot' that you want. The dot is the metal ball, on the end of the rod. Dip it in paint, hold the rod straight, and make your dot. The glass rods, with the flat end, are used the same way. YouTube, has a lot of videos, on how to use them. I also was not sure how to use them. It's fun to do.

Question:	Are they good for tracing carbon tracing paper onto felt fabric
Answer:	While I havent used these on paper (I paint on rocks), I believe they would do the job, in particular the blue set which I found have a smoother ball and may be more suited to paper.
Question:	Would these ve good for nail dots, glitter art
Answer:	I haven’t used them for that purpose but don’t see any reason why they wouldn’t work. There are a variety of ball sizes included and you would need to experiment some and see which size works the best. The smaller sizes tear cardstock so I would think same thing would happen with carbon paper especially if you press too hard.
Question:	Would these be good for dot painting mandelas on black paper
Answer:	No the sizes are not marked on the tools.

The diameter of each tool starts at .5mm and goes up .5mm each size. .5mm, 1mm, 1.5mm.......... until 13mm and the last two sizes are 14mm and 15mm. Question:	Why are some wood and some plastic
Answer:	Yes, there are different sizes which can make different size indents , but also great to not indent. Pressure is the key.

Answer:	They would absolutely help in making polka dots. To put it on a hearing aid you may want to use the smallest tip. I have used these with both paint and nail polish. Just wipe the tip off after each dab it you want them the exact same size. When adding to a project just pour out a small amount of paint. Then dip the tip in the paint.

Answer:	I haven’t tried to use them for tracing; however, the tools with the wooden handles should work if you press hard.

Answer:	I know it works well on removing the static off your paper for the Embossing powder. But I don't think it would work on Embossing Ink (which I have never heard of).
