The middle (smallest) has a 1" high capacity and the top (medium) has 1-3/4" high capacity (1-1/3 where the handle on the lid is indented). If you put the lid on the deepest container you get a 3" high capacity (2-1/3 where the handle on the lid is indented) with the other two containers at 1" high.
