Answer:	They are not canvases. They’re more like a flat canvas. I think they’re called paint boards, which are flat and used for practicing and getting better at painting. As canvases are more expensive. I have however hung mine up with packing tape. And yes they are scratched and you can just paint right on them after taking off the plastic.

Answer:	There is an outside pocket with an included sax neck pack and a well on the right front of the case that it will fit in.

Answer:	I’m jot familiar with a Hercules stand, but I have my alto and soprano stand plus a lot of other stuff with room to spare. It is a GREAT case!
