First you separate the three colors. Pick the size pom pom you want. Put them together the colors I mean where it has a separation in between them. Take yarn cut it to length that you want. And wrap it around from inside to outside over and over. When it gets too tight take a crochet hook to pull it through the middle. When you are done, take a string wrap it around the separated edges tie it tight. Pull one side out than the other, bang on hand to fluff it up cut any misaligned edges. I hope that helps.

Answer:	I believe this is intended for DK or Worsted weight yarn held single strand. I HAVE looms made for sock yarn, and this gauge is WAY bigger than that, so my feeling is NO, you would not make a satisfactory item using sock yarn alone with these looms.
