Answer:	I have these in most sizes. Never have had a problem with bending. BUT: I do take precautions as I live in South Florida! NEVER leave them in the car! Plastics and acrylics can soften in high heat. Dont leave them on the couch, you sit on them, they will break BTW, my favorite needle.

Question:	How rough are these needles? I actually prefer them rough as I use them for cable needles and the smooth ones just slip right out
Answer:	In case anyone is still looking for more opinions, these needles would work well for cables, but for me they were a little too rough for knitting. I found that they were rougher than both my crystal palace bamboo needles, and a different multi-size set of DPNs from amazon, and I thought they gripped the stitches too much to be enjoyable over the course of an entire project. I was using them with a superwash merino sock yarn; maybe they'd be easier to use with a more slippery/silky yarn.
