Answer:	Each dye works for about 1lb of clothing. Dying something black can make things around dye too. I used a bucket in the garage to dye some trousers I had and they came out very well. Wear rubber gloves or you will have black hands. These dyes are very good and will work well. Also, make sure the article is wet before you put it into the dye bath. If you are uncertain about the weight of clothing try using two packets of the dye as that will guarantee the blackest black you can get. Also, wash separately for quite a few washes as excess dye will leach out for a little while. Each time I have washed a dyed article I rinsed it with salt in the water. The salt will seal the dye better.

Answer:	I know this about 8 months late, but I'm answering it anyway for anybody else who might want to know.DIRECTIONS FOR TOP LOADING MACHINES:1. Prewash fabric and leave damp.2. Set machine to longest wash cycle, hot water & lowest water level to cover fabric. Start cycle.3. When machine is full, use rubber gloves and add dye and 4 cups of salt. Close lid and allow to agitate for 1 min. Add fabric and allow wash cycle to finish. Before dye solution has drained, restart machine to beginning of cycle to ensure fabric is in dye for at least 30 minutes. Allow cycle to finish.4. Leave fabric in machine and add detergent. Run full wash cycle to remove excess dye. Additional rinse cycles may be necessary. 5. Line dry fabric away from sunlight and direct heat.6. To clean machine -- add 1 cup of bleach and detergent and run longest hot water cycle with machine empty. Answer:	From one foot girl to another I got you. A newly hired Nordstrom shoes department kid, Jokingly said my feet were double wide. It’s true.. they are! I bought 7.5 and 8. There was a big difference in the sizes but chose to keep both. They are not slip on. It’s a bit difficult to get past the seam on the toes . I’m not gonna lie, I wore the 7.5 for a little bit or as long as I could stand it. If you sit down, point your toe to work past that seam It will stretch over time. I can now were either pair all day. Still hate that seam in the box toe. I see a number of complaints about it and I hope Blowfish starts making the wider. I just bought a shoes stretcher from Amazon that works great. Good luck these are super cute shoes.
Question:	Do I need to wash the shirts before dying them
Answer:	I have wide feet. I have found that I have to size down half a size in blowfish and vans. I had bought a size nine in a different color because everyone was saying size up or tts. The nines slide up and down when I walk so I ordered a 8.5 in this color. My tts is a size 9.

Answer:	The premeasured dyes are already in the bottle for you. Just add Water! This is fantastic kit! I have used them for many occasions. dye sets great.. does not fade or bleed on my laundry. Answer:	Red, yellow and blue. You get a bottle for each of those colors plus a four to mix either orange, green or purple. May I suggest to you that you make orange because the lighter colors are the hardest to create and keep while dying. Seems like yellow is always the color you run out of first.

Answer:	Just to be safe, I always wash alone for the first few washes. After that, I haven't had any problems with color bleed.

Answer:	color results are about same using coloring directions; i've found at least 2-3 additional dye packs to most formulas give deeper blacks.

Answer:	Hi Maureen, in general all cotton dyes well. White fabric to Black dye produces a good outcome. I add distilled White vinegar and Epsom salts in HOT water with the dye. Let the garment soak 2 or 3 times longer than the directions call for. Use more dye to insure a deep Black color. I hope that helps!

Answer:	Yes they are.

Question:	How to use these Tie Dye Kits
Answer:	Well, I am primarily a quilter and use them on 100% cotton. However, I went ahead and tried them on a tote bag from a craft store. They worked just fine. I did have to go over an area twice that I was filling in because of the roughness of the material. I tried some letters as well and they looked nice and crisp.
Question:	I am preparing to give gifts to my family, and i want to give them new gifts. can i know how many projects i can make
Answer:	I would say they don't work well on 'hairy' type fabrics. I used mine on cotton tees and even then it took quite some time because you have to do small little brush strokes. They would work BEST on a canvas type fabric with a nice tight weave - but that's the case with most fabric markers...
Question:	I want to dye some clothes for my pet Cocoa. How many headscarves can this kit make
Answer:	Yes they do. Sometimes they do bleed into the other color. Just touch lightly.
Question:	After completing multiple tie-dyeing projects, can the shirts be washed together or separately
Answer:	The colors will fade some after several washings but can be reused to mark whenever necessary. The best fabric markers, however, are the ones that are specifically made for textile design.

Question:	How long does dye last once mixed? Or can you make small batches of dye
Answer:	I don't think so. If it were me I would buy bigger containers of just the bright fun colors. This kit did 4 t-shirts and 6 napkin size pieces of cloth.
Question:	How many ounces are in each bottle
Answer:	I know that once you mix it, you can keep it but the color will not be as vibrant when you use it on another item. I have a few bottles left over too, so I make sure I use extra color when I'm tye-dying.
Question:	Must shirt be wet before applying dye
Answer:	Yes and no. Just depends on how you die. If you do one or two colors per shirt you'd have plenty! But just a tip. If you're trying to save die. Have a container under your shirt when you're applying the die so it catches the spilled die and you can put it back in the container if this is just you doing the project. But if this is a family or group craft I would buy two just to be safe. I hope this helps! :)

Answer:	We didn't do any of that and the colors came out bright and have stayed well.

NOTICE:

1.Always work with damp fabric. we recommend pre-washing your fabric and dyeing while it's still damp. This helps the dye to saturate better, which means you don't have to use as much to get the color effect you want.

2.If you are doing a tie dye project with young children, supervise them well and let them know that a little dye goes a long way. From our experience as parents, kids can be a little heavy-handed with the dye.

3.We highly recommend using natural fabrics, like cotton, wool, and rayon since they display the colors better. Other fabrics may not allow the tie dye to stick well or at all.
