Prepare the Dishes: Clean and dry your dishes thoroughly before packing. You can use newspaper or bubble wrap to wrap individual plates or fragile items like glassware, cups, or bowls.
Wrap Individually: Lay a sheet of Kraft paper on a flat surface, place a dish or item in the center, and fold the paper over it. Secure the paper with tape to keep it in place.
Stack and Pad: After wrapping individual items, you can stack them in a sturdy moving box, making sure to add crumpled Kraft paper or other padding materials between each layer. This helps cushion and protect the dishes from any shocks or vibrations during transportation.
Label the Box: Clearly label the moving box as "Fragile" or "Dishes" to ensure that movers or helpers handle it with care.

Looking for ways to safely pack your merchandise?
When you are in a business, you want to provide the best quality product and deliver it with utmost care. Packaging is very important as it assures your customer that their item is secure and intact.
While packaging is as important as the product itself, you want to make sure that you don’t spend too much on securing your product. You’re also looking to reduce your contribution to harmful waste by avoiding bubble wrap, packing peanuts, and plastic sheets.
Choose packing material that is economical and kinder to the Earth with the Woodman Crafts Newsprint Packing Paper!
Our newsprint material can be used to pack fragile merchandise such as dining wares, kitchen wares, and other breakables like porcelain vases and pottery. It can be used as fillers for hollow objects like glasses, pots, and bowls. You can also use it as stuffing to increase the stability of loose items inside boxes.
These paper sheets can be tiled together to create a larger wrap to pack large frames, murals, and other big objects. These papers are recyclable and biodegradable, unlike plastic wraps that take hundreds of years to decompose.
Beyond shipping, newsprint papers are highly absorbent and are used as tray liners in many fast food chains. If you have a diner or a restaurant, you can cut out a large newsprint sheet into 5 to 6 pieces and use them to protect your trays and minimize food mess.

User questions & answers
Question: | Why does this say 20 lb when product description says "Package Dimensions : 18.07 x 12.17 x 5.51 inches; 19.25 Pounds |
Answer: | Hi, while I’m not certain what you are really asking, this is not tissue paper but it is news print. Yes it will tear but like a newspaper, remember those? It is the kind of paper used by professional packers employed by movers. Said another way, if you are wrapping things like dishes or drinking glasses to protect them from breakage, this is the right product. If you are trying to protect small and delicate things like expensive porcelain figurines this would not be the right stuff and you should consider instead tissue paper or bubble wrap with very small bubbles. I hope this helps. It is what we are doing as we prepare to move later in the year. |
Question: | do they tear easily |
Answer: | Good question. I bought the 20 lb box and though I did not count the sheets, the interior packaging says 480 sheets instead of 640. |
Question: | How many sheets? The description says 620 but i am seeing 480 in the comments. Which one is correct please...thank you in advance |
Answer: | Thanks for the catch! We just slightly changed the sheet sizes from 31.0" x 21.5" to 27" be 17" in order to make a better tri-fold without the hard creases of a cross-fold as customers requested. This change yielded more sheets for the same amount of total weight, also which customers requested, so now our 20# package has 640 sheets as opposed to the 480 previously. |
Question: | i just posted asking the amount of sheets. which one is correct? the 480 sheets or 640 sheets...i saw 480 in the comments... does it have 480 or |
Answer: | Matte finish |

User questions & answers
Question: | Safe to just use that and not add bubble wrap |
Answer: | I use one for every other dish for storing holiday dishes and China. I haven’t done any moving though. |
Question: | Do I need to use one for each plate, or can I stack plates without foam between the plates that are in the foam |
Answer: | I would guess that the longer pouches would work well, although by itself it would not be enough. They would be kept safe from scratching, but would not keep them from breaking on impact. |
Question: | Will this product work for wine glasses |
Answer: | Bubble wrap is definetly better protection, the foam pouches are more for storing while in a cupboard during the year, not for moving in a box. Hope this helps. |
Question: | This can protect dishes from scratching but how does it prevent breakage like bubble wrap would |
Answer: | Very smooth. If I needed anymore for my packing purposes I would definitely purchase again. Also would be great for kids to color on. |

User questions & answers
Question: | Are these sheets water proof for bird runny poop |
Answer: | I used this to wrap both unsealed & sealed painted and printed canvas art & photos to store for what was supposed to be 1-2 months in a regular storage unit (not climate controlled), but ended up stretching out to just over a yr thanks to a complicated escrow process. At any rate, everything that was wrapped in this paper was still in perfect condition AND it even protected a few pieces from what we can only guess was rodent urine! 😖 Only the outer layer of paper was saturated. I wrapped each piece individually and secured with tape like wrapping a present. Then I bundled them in groups of 5 and wrapped all 5 with another layer of paper and secured the seams with tape, and that's how they were moved and were stored upright on a metal shelf in storage. I also use this paper a LOT as a drop sheet for art/craft projects, and it works great, even for messy paint! For really runny/wet projects like watercolor, I use 2 sheets, but 1 is fine for most uses. I've ordered these several times now and will continue to do so. |
Question: | Can it be used for art prints separation in storage |
Answer: | Hello! This paper is not glossy or waxed. It is newsprint. |
Question: | Is this paper glossy or waxed |
Answer: | Yes. It works very well, and makes keeping their cages clean without a lot of work. It’s a lot better than newspapers because there is no printing on it, etc. |
Question: | Can you use it for bird cages |
Answer: | I believe it it #14 weight paper... I am using it as birdcage liner. It is very absorbant, and a decent substitute for the actual liners that I was using that are no longer carried by the pet store. |

User questions & answers
Question: | are these thick enough to pack framed tiles in |
Answer: | The standard size of a vinyl lp is 12 in dia., if your lucky enough to have the 1930's/40's albums (78 rpm), they're only 10 in dia. So the answer to your question is yes. That being said, I would suggest you take a look at pouches made for records, such as, Record Inner Sleeves Anti-Static- (50Pk) Premium Protection for 12" LP Albums by Record-Happy or something similar. |
Question: | Can anyone tell me if a standard size vinyl lp record will fit in these |
Answer: | I use this product which is poly coated so its perfect for runny poop. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B077CCKHN9/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 |

User questions & answers
Question: | These are thin. can anyone recommend a thicker brand |
Answer: | Yes, they are recyclable. |
Question: | Can you recycle these |
Answer: | I think so. If you pack them on their sides then they should be good. For extra protection I would advice getting some sheet cushion and line the box with it. As long as no one drops or mistreats the box they should be perfectly safe. I used them to pack my china and antique depression glass. |

Question: | Do you sell narrower options? I have an antique stand which can only take a max width of 16" by |
