Question:	Is there a big difference between the big Shot and the plus, width wise? It appears to be minimal according to the measurements
Answer:	Absolutely! You can put a whole sheet of cardstock through and unable to do that with the big shot, you can also cut more dies at a time if you are doing several for a card or scrapbooking
Question:	Do they have the silicone rubber mat and textures pad for the big shot plus
Answer:	No, it does not come with a rubber mat or texture pad. It comes with the platform, A & B plates and two clear cutting plates. I am able to use the rubber pad and creasing pad, which I purchased separately, for my regular Big Shot and it works fine. Note: I noticed that the plus machine has a lot more pressure and it leaves an impression of the die on the top clear plate when used together with the new precision (metal) cutting plate. It also warped my wafer thin die. I think it would have been ok had I not used the precision cutting plate.
Question:	What is in the box
Answer:	Big Shot Plus; platform; adapter sheets A & B and a pair of cutting pads.I've only had it a few days and played a little bit. So far love it! You can cut a whole lot of things at once, do several embossing folders in one pass and the large folders are no problem.Hope this helps.
Question:	Can you use the standard cutting plates from the Big Shot with the magnetic cutting platform in the Big Shot Plus
Answer:	Yes, you can use magnetic board, or any other boards that fit big kick or big shot in this machine. I Used the magnetic board, the clear plate on top, my die -blade up, paper on top and then the clear cutting board. This board will go the long way into Big Shot because it is 9" wide. I did learn that if you slant your dies on the magnet they cut out nicer. Folks PLEASE go to YOUTUBE.com and ask for Big Shot Plus tutorials. You will learn alot. Answer:	Hello Eileen, I have tried but I personally wouldn't recommend it.. because the dies are thin, you need to make the plates thicker and when I tried it I ended up slightly damaging the machine, not enough so I can't use it to embosse, but enough to not try die cutting again.. hope this helps you. 

Answer:	I don’t regret buying it from Amazon. The package deal was the same as the quilt store, but they were out. I haven’t heard anyone complaining about the does not being sharp.

Answer:	One of my mats was slightly warped, placed it flat with a heavy book on it and the next day it was fine.

Answer:	No, it's very easy. 6 layers of fabrics is the maximum layers and if it's too hard for you to turn the handle cut less layers. That's what I do.

Answer:	you can use any pattern you have and create a block with any of the Accuquilt GO dies. Let your imagination run. There are so many GO Books out there with many patterns. Answer:	Oil does not come with the kit nor is it needed. The cutter is very simple to use, just takes a bit of practice to get the hang of it.

Do not forget to use medium pressure when scoring the bottle, this will help you get those perfect cuts. The easiest method to split the bottle is dipping the bottle in boiling water and ice cold water because it will guarantee the hot water gets into the score, and when you dip in cold water and it will just separate by itself. Step 1: Adjusting the Machine

• Mount the attachments: You need to mount the attachments as the picture shows.
• Adjust the cutting length and width: When estimating the width of two rear rollers, you also need to make sure there is enough space for the square bottle.
• Adjust the blade: Loosen the up screw with the hex wrench, adjust the blade of the cutting wheel, and then tighten it firmly.

Step 2: Etching the Glass

• Place the bottle on the machine with the vertical flat side of the bottle against the straight edges of the front and back attachments.
• Set the blade forward to keep it in contact with the glass corners.
• Apply pressure as you rotate the bottle toward one direction with two hands.
• Set the blade straight up when you are etching the flat surface.Keep it firmly against the backstop and keep it moving while you're making the etching.

Step 3: Separating the Bottle

People often use one of these two methods to separate the bottle. You can choose one of them.

Method A. The Flame Method

This method is most commonly used. A burning candle and an ice cube are required for this method.

Method B. Use Hot and Cold Water

Using this method, you will need to alternate between "almost boiling water" and "cold tap water."

Step 4: Smoothing the Edge

• Rub the inside and outside edges lightly with a piece of coarse polishing paper.
• Sprinkle a small amount of the polishing powder on a flat, hard surface. You can also use a glass or metal pie plate or a piece of window glass.
• Dip the edge of the glass in water and then place it on the polishing surface. Start to grind in a circular motion. After a short time, the edge of the glass will become perfectly flat and have a dull, gray appearance.
• Again, smooth the inside and outside edges with the polishing paper.

Question:	I need to cut a patron bottle near the bottom less than an inch. Doesnt look like the jig will work for this. Is that correct
Answer:	I'm afraid I have not used it long enough to know how often to change the blade. There are three blades embedded in the disk, so that a fresh blade can be had by loosening the disk, rotating it to a new blade, and then re-tightening the disk. The company's email customer service was very cordial and helpful; I'm sure they would be happy to give you an estimate of how long each blade lasts, what factors will affect its longevity, and how to obtain a replacement. The disk is small, so shipping a replacement should be easy.

Answer:	The one on the rollers is for just straight cuts. The set comes with a hand cutter that you can use for any other cuts both are glass cutters.

Answer:	Hello, thanks for your question! Our product is not advertised especially for square bottles but we can assure you that it gets the job done. You have to make sure you adjust the rollers so the bottle stands still whilst you perform the cut. Otherwise, it might not break clean. But overall, you just need to use the regular method displayed for round bottles.
Question:	I am wondering if this would also work with glass jars? it looks like it would. i am thinking of turning trader joe’s salsa jars into drinking glasses
Answer:	I will be honest I have not yet successfully cut any bottles. I have tried several but they have all cracked. Not sure what I’m doing wrong. I’m sure it would work.
