Answer:	All the white and black pieces are plastic. Only the shiny bits that you can see in the pictures are metal. But it's not flimsy at all. The base is very stable; it's hollow so you could make it heavier if needed.

Answer:	We have the lamp up about 47 inches when it is standing by as a floor lamp. It is positioned next to our love seat where my wife likes to do her sewing and other close up work. She pulls the lamp down to about 37 inches when she's working with it. She can stretch it out horizontally about 36 inches from the base and still maintain stability. Hope that info helps.

Answer:	When the magnifying lamp is standing by in floor lamp mode, it's about 47 inches. When using the magnifier, we pull it down to about 37 inches in height. A comfortable horizontal extension is about 36 inches.

Answer:	Not sure how to answer the question but I use it to do a variety of crafts including diamond painting on a table, needlework on my lap etc. quite versatile, works well. My only issue is that it does not rotate much, would prefer 360 to move out of the way when getting up. The large viewing area is awesome. It replaces an old fluorescent one that works well but less magnification, heavy and hot.

HOW TO-

The Lightview's On/Off switch is conveniently located at the bottom of the head, just under the lens on the left side. To dim the brightness levels, just tap the touch sensing arrows at the top of the lamp head.

Because of the built in dimmer, the lamp cannot be dimmed externally at this time. The lamp is plugin operated and works with 110v - 220v outlets; you would just need to use a plug adapter to use it outside of the US, as the plug is made to fit standard US AC outlets.

WHAT TO KNOW-

The Lightview Pro comes packaged securely in styrofoam boxes for the head and the base and is very easy to put together. Just follow the included instruction diagram; no additional tools necessary!

The lamp's height can be modified between 51 inches to as low as 24 inches on your table or work bench, by removing the additional pole piece between the head and the base. It can even be used as a clamp desk lamp with an appropriate clamp base. It has a maximum outward reach of 29 inches. The lamp weighs approximately 27 pounds, mostly thanks to the sturdy weighted base, which measures 6 x 11 inches.

Answer:	this is a bottom bifocal magnifier, It is pretty much impossible to put a full magnifier across a lens with this type of a curve base, it would end up giving you a fishbowl effect

Answer:	From Wikipedia, you can find the following formula for magnification power: [MA] = (25cm)/(f) + 1 Solving for f, you would need a focal length of 8.6mm. Magnifying glasses only work if the object is closer than one focal length. This would make the magnifying glass completely impractical, and is quite obviously not true. Summary: it's not possible to have a single lens that can magnify at 30x and be of any practical use.

A note on using the MicroBrite Plus in the field: Due to high magnification, the focal distance of the MicroBrite Plus is very short (maximum of 2mm past the acrylic base). It is not possible to focus on subjects beyond this focal distance. Looking at larger, three dimensional objects or objects that are not on a flat surface takes practice and a steady hand, especially since small movements are exaggerated with higher magnification. This is why we recommend viewing flatter objects on a flat surface, especially when first using this microscope.

HOW TO-

The Lightview is really lightweight and is simple to put together. It comes with only four pieces that snap into place with each other easily, and also includes a simple instruction diagram to show how the parts fit together.

The On/Off switch is conveniently located at the top of the gooseneck, near the lens. The lamp is plugin operated and works with 110v - 220v outlets; you would just need to use a plug adapter to use it outside of the US, as the plug is made to fit standard US AC outlets.

LED DETAILS-

This lamp includes a built-in power-saving LED fixture that stays cool, even as your living space bathes for hours. It has 6 watts, 570 Lumens and a color temperature of a clear, crisp 6,000 Kelvin. Because it's LED and uses far less power than incandescent or halogen bulbs, it increases the lamp's life expectancy to 15-20 years, and you'll never have the replace the bulb! (Please NOTE- bulb is not dimmable.)

WHAT TO KNOW-

The lens of the Lightview Flex is approximately 3 inches wide (in its housing, the total width is 5 inches). The lamp's gooseneck measures 13.5 inches long and it lets you adjust the height of the lamp from anywhere between 6 and 16 inches tall.

The clamp can be used on a desk up to approximately 2.5 inches and the lamp's cord is just under 5 feet long.

Answer:	Yes. There is a small loop on the frame designed just for that purpose.

Answer:	Im not sure, but it feels like plastic.acrylic, not glass. But optically, it transmits accurate images and things are very clear and vibrant.

Answer:	If you mean where your head with be fully upright in an ergonomic position, no. You will still have to turn your head downward a bit.
