Answer:	Why would you use a brass case? Brass wouldn't shield the magnetic field at all because brass is not magnetic. To shield a magnetic field, you need another ferromagnetic substance so the field lines follow the lines of the most conductive substance - the iron/steel. More or less. Get one of those larger steel pill cases or something of that sort and drop this in there.

Answer:	No, silver isn’t magnetic. But fake one are.

Answer:	If you mean to ask if they lose their polarity within a year, no, you should be able to re-use them for a year. If you mean to ask if they can be re-used indefinitely, I would bet that the magnets would start to lose their polarity after 5 years, and would eventually lose their strength after at least 10 years of use. These aren't neodymium magnets so it's hard to tell and each magnet's life time will vary, but I can conservatively say that if you are using them just for christmas cards every year, they should definitely last at least 10 years.

It would most likely just be little tiny rust spots, the size of a pin point. If it rusts and shows more than tiny little rust dots, then it is not a neodymium magnet. They should not have do much iron that they rust and crumble for instance. Stainless steel can have the same thing happen, especially cheap stainless steel.

Answer:	The magnet is strong so it wants to shift to the pendant. This does not occur constantly. The tendency is definitely a strong magnetic pull to the clasp. I don't feel it is a problem which outweighs trying to get the regular clasp closed over the easy of using a magnetic clasp.

Answer:	Although I haven't tried to use these clasps with heavy beads, the magnetic ends seem to hold them securely with light to average beads. Althouh I haven't tried it yet, I asssume the purpose to the `extra' clasp on one end is to provide extra security. A good question. Perhaps someone out there can explain. I should add that the ends do not screw together.
