| Answer: | I just measured mine and the warming plate is 4", but the base is like 5" x 5" (circular) and it is 1-1/8 (or close high). Even adding the little decorative piece, none of my measurements are as listed above. Only explanation (maybe) is that is the size of the item in its packaging. Hope this helps. By the way it works beautifully. |

| Answer: | I bought a warmer specifically for keeping my cup of chai hot (it does keep it hot enough to still drink comfortably). The manufacturer says it safely reaches 131F. For this candle warmer product I've read comments about the temperature being from 130F to 142F. Keep in mind these temps are taken from folks who tested the warmers temp, not the temp for a cup of liquid. I'm thinking that the coffee warmers and the candle warmers are the same type of product. Just advertised for different uses. |

| Answer: | I have several of these. A few have been in use for several years. I had all these candles that people gave as gifts or the wife would buy and just open the lid and think that would suffice as far as letting the fragrance from them permeate the air in that fashion. For a period of time, she would light one and that is a disaster in itself. I noticed the ceiling was discolored and it was "soot" from the wick burning. That ended the burning of candles permanently. These are the ticket. You set a candle on the warmer, and in an hour or more, it is completely melted inside its container and it fills a room with pleasant smells. It can sit there for months at a time and I completely forget about a certain one. I'll take it off the warmer and again, within a half hour or so, it has solidified and put a lid on it and put it away for however long. Put a new scented candle on and back in business. It seems that a "fresh" candle will have a stronger presence, but maybe that's just me. Just the change of flavor is enough for me to change it every week or two. But these are magnificent. There are only some simple drawbacks and it just requires some common sense. I don't have cats but I can see an animal like that bumping it and you have liquid wax about and it is a pain to clean up. Kids could be an issue too. One particular thing I've noticed here recently is the jar shape. I usually place one of the jars that are the same diameter as the warmer base and it covers the warming area perfectly and fully. This makes all the warmth from the plate migrate up into the jar of wax and it completely melts. A month ago, I place a jar on it that is taller and 1/2 the diameter of the warming plate. It took more than a day for the wax to liquify and it never is fully melted. This is because much of the heat is just being lost to the atmosphere and I've learned from this. In a nutshell, just don't put it where it will get bumped. Don't pack stuff around it like paper or cloth or flammables, but that is just common sense. These are worth every penny. Especially if you are sitting on a bunch of candles. Hope this gives people a sense of how these work. |
