Answer:	We never tried it since we always use cynoacrylate glue to secure knots. But since it is nylon, which has a low melting point I see no reason why it will not work.
Question:	Product description states"the diameter of the thread will be double". Why double (1.5mm X 2=3mm)? Why not just call it 3mm
Answer:	The way I understand the description (taken from the Griffin catalog) is that if you use a beading needle you will be doubling up the thickness of the thread that has to pass through the beads or pearls. I can assure you that the actual diameter of the cord is 1.5 mm. My company, Model Expo is not in the bead stringing business but manufacturers kits with which to build historic tall ships and the beading cord is used for the rigging (ropes) on the model ships. We are extremely sensitive to the diameters of the cord as most of our ships use from 3 to 6 different diameters to simulate in miniature the rigging of the sails on the old sailing ships. Again ... this is 1.5 mm. Count on it.
