Answer:	I use this for storing frozen mice for my snakes. More hygienic (thus, less disgusting) than storing frozen feeder rodents (or raw poultry and other meat) with any of your family's foodstuffs that won't be cooked before they are eaten! The lack of an auto defrost feature is actually an advantage, since temperatures fluctuate little except when you are defrosting manually.

Switched to DC when I arrived at my destination, kept the small area below freezing & the large area at 33 degrees fot 2 days without restarting the truck. Obviously draws very little power.

I also use it between my legs when I sleep on my side because it puts a good alignment for my back (tall side between my thighs) but then my legs gently slope down to my feet unlike the other between the thigh pillows that don't support the lower legs.
