Answer:	I have a recommendation for you...DO NOT BUY THIS PIECE OF JUNK. You can set the light to stay on but the drinks will NOT be cold so I guess it is what is important a lighted metal storage box for drinks or a beverage cooler that actually cools the beverages. Right now the thermostat is set on mine at 38 degrees and the cooler is showing 55 degrees. FYI my house is 71 degrees and there is a ceiling fan in the room this cooler is in and drapes are drawn so the room is quite comfortable. Compare this situation to the mini fridge I have in my garage which does not have air conditioning and is quite a bit warmer yet the drinks in that fridge are ice cold. Save yourself a lot of money and don't buy this product. I am going to replace mine as soon as I find something else that will fit the space. FYI spent $300 on repairs to the unit last year and it still doesn't cool properly.
