Answer:	Yes it is. It’s a nice range hood for the price.
Question:	What power cord do I need to buy for this range hood
Answer:	It is hard wired in. You need to run Romex out through a hole in your drywall 3/4" to the right of the ducting. It's explained in detail in the installation instruction.
Question:	I just purchased this hood. Are there any other parts that are required to install it fully
Answer:	Electric wiring with connectors, electric tape. If venting out, vent pipes of the correct size, duct tape, self-tapping metal screws to attach to the hood. Size is in the dimensions that come with the hood. Ducting depends on where it is going, but there are examples of what is correct. Light bulb is usually not included, be sure not to get a hot type or above the rating for your hood. 4 x mounting screws for mounting the hood under the cabinet, larger flat head type with a good thread that won't pierce through the bottom of the cabinet mounting surface, but have a head large enough to hold the hood in place. It has larger round holes with smaller slots so you can get the hood on and off without unscrewing them all the way. If you have to cut for the vent, you will need a hole saw or jigsaw, drill a hole to get the blade started and try not to cut larger than required for venting. Secure the pipes with a simple strap. Remember that the grease screen only catches a portion of the grease, so you will need to be able to access the pipes in the future for cleaning. Do not share the output with any other flammable chimney space like a wood or gas burning chimney. The ducts should be self-contained and accessible. If you are just circulating the air from this hood like a fan, you should be prepared to clean the grease trap screen and hood often with TSP or some other grease cutting cleaner on a regular basis. The shorter the distance to the outside, the easier it will be to keep clean. Follow the wiring guide and make sure things are properly grounded and connected safely. If you don't feel comfortable with it, don't do it.
Question:	how do you connect exhaust vent to the top of hood? is it round hole or square? I have round vent ttube, if its not round do you sell an adapter
Answer:	The vent can be on the top or in the back, you just knock out whichever cover you want to use, but it only comes with a rectangular damper. Answer:	Hi John, I am not sure at what heat it will turn on however it does have a thermostat which will turn on the fan or increase the fan speed from low to high when excessive heat is detected. I think it may be best to contact the manufacturer to ask what temperature threshold it is configured to turn on. I was able to find more information on the HEAT SENTRY system at Broan's Website in the instructions manual on page 3. Answer:	This fan allows cooking fumes to pass through a grease filter and a thin replaceable activated charcoal filter. It cannot absorb large amounts of cooking odors or smoke. You need a fan that is ducted to the outside to effectively remove cooking odors and smoke.

Answer:	That's correct. The air flows through the filter on the underside and out through the three columns of vent slats you see on the front of the range hood. There is no connection to other vents or ducts in a wall or through the roof.
Question:	I will be plugging the rangehood into the wall, will I need a power cord kit
Answer:	I'm not sure what your setup is, but when I did mine, I hardwired the hood into the existing black and white wires that were used in the old hood. Chances are that if you don't have the pre wired design that I had, you will need a power cord kit if you plan to physically plug the unit into a traditional wall socket.

Answer:	Depends primarily on heat source. Common recommendation for range hoods: Distance for high-heat gas burners at least 36" or commercial 42+." Normal gas stove-top 30" to 36." Electric/conduction produces less ambient heat, so 24" to 32." This manufacturer recommends 39" to 42", which allows for high-heat gas burners--I read that as 3" above common recommendations, so 39+" for gas w/high output burners, 33+" for older gas w/o high burners, 27"+ for electric burners. Also, add at least another 3" if you have wood enclosure around hood.

The black acrylic we use soap water with microfiber cloth. No scratch and it still looks like when we first got it. We really love it...

Answer:	Thank you for your question. We only have a rating for the CFM on the highest setting, which is 760. We do not have a rating for the medium or the low settings. I hope this information is helpful.
Question:	Is this a ductless hood
Answer:	Thank you for your question. This hood is not ductless but can be converted to ductless by separately purchasing the carbon filter kit CFK1-RS. When using it ductless, you will still need to cut a hole in the bottom of your cabinet to accommodate the 6" vent hole on top of the unit and allow the air to recirculate through the cabinet's doors.
