Answer:	The 3031 has 2 15,000 BTU burners and 2 12,000 BTU burners. The 3080 has 1 18,000, 1 15,000 and 2 12,000 BTU burners. The 3031 has a 16,500 infrared broiler where the 3080 has a 13,000 BTU broiler. Those were the main differences I found when looking at both ranges.

Answer:	Agree with Larry Dunn. Made in China does not mean bad quality nowadays but you are taking a chance on less known names. Likewise, there are some not so well made in USA product (nowadays)...Made in USA used to mean something by default. The ginormous Chinese factory is Hyxion, a relative young Chinese company (like so many) have the ambition and capitals to invest in manufacturing technology to compete with big names. Because their products look so similar to Blue Star at less about 1/3 of price and 1/2 of Bertazzoni (36" range top and range hood) that I am about to buy, I did some research on Thor. BTW, Costco.ca sells both Blue Star & Thor Kitchen. Compelling price point indeed with lots of good reviews on Amazon and elsewhere but I am going to go with Bertazzoni simply for its design and name/history (even though it has few and not as good reviews). If I have a really really tight budget, I would give Hyxion / Thor a shot for sure...probably better made, styling and value than similar US big name products at same price points.

Answer:	I cannot answer for the PC 7518, but have adjusted to work with the PC 890 Series plunge base. Adjustments included use of the Bosch 1/4-IN rod sleeve guides, purchased 1/4x36-IN steel rod (halved), shape filed rod ends to fit PC 1/4-IN anchor holes, set screws and prepared1/8-IN thick Lexan base plate to fit (rod anchor height need). BTW, no rod adjustments needed with use of 3/16-IN steel rod though stayed with 1/4-IN rod as Bosch edge guide had 1/4-IN rod capacity. Note: As stated by Bosch, comparability not tested. This works well.

Remove Screw with Phillips Screwdriver

Open the unit by removing the two mesh filters and locate the switch in the middle of the fan unit. Remove the screw with a Phillips screwdriver.

Change Switch Position

Change the switch position to the ductless position which allows the exhaust to flow out of the front vent. Replace screw with Phillips screwdriver.

Add Charcoal Filter (Part # CFK4)

For this step, you will need Part # CFK4 Carbon Filter Kit, sold separately. Place the charcoal filter on top of the middle piece and screw into place. Replace mesh filters and your range hood is now ductless!

I was able to find the right size for my Bosch gas range top (about 5 years old) by my next order of "20 Pack Impresa Thermador Grate Feet Part Compatible with Part Number 00618112 1999626, 617174, 618112, AH3478553, EA3478553, PS3478553". The width of the peg is about 3/8" or about 9.5mm. I got lucky, as they don't go into detail about the peg widths. If you can't find the part number (and I tried this too) its just trial and error... fortunately, its free returns...

Answer:	We have three cats in a 600 sq. ft. apartment and we were getting complaints from neighbors despite changing our three litter boxes weekly and scooping daily, plus vacuuming with a $300 HEPA vacuum constantly. This air purifier made all the difference. Our allergies are better (we're both allergic to cats!) and visitors frequently remark that they're surprised we have cats at all. Our building caretaker says the complaints have stopped and himself says he can't smell anything anymore. We run it 24 hours a day. It also takes care of strong cooking smells. Due to its heavy use, I replace the prefilters about once a month, and the HEPA filter about every three months. I pay $70 for the four-pack by Crucial to do this. We're very happy.

Answer:	The carbon pre-filter and a Hepafilter come with the purifier. When I run the machine at high speed 24/7, I vacuum the carbon filter once a week, the hepa filter has stayed clean and I've never vacuumed or replaced it

Answer:	This book that came with it says Whirlpool. I really like this machine. Needed new charcoal filters at about 3 months. I bought it in Nov. 2013 and took about 2 weeks to really see a big difference with the allergies.
