Answer:	Water wipes off easily. Any cooking splatter that lands on the hot surface creates a permanent mark though. It is impossible to keep new looking with regular use.

Answer:	The accompanying information from GE lists GE Stainless Steel Clad Aluminum Griddle JXGRIDL1 as being "tailored to fit GE sync burners". I have not personally purchased or used a griddle for this cooktop. Lightweight griddles such as this one are recommended; no cast iron pieces are recommended for glass cooktop.

Answer:

We replaced our glass top GE gas cooktop with this. I don’t know if it was profile but the same size as this one. We did have to do some granite work around edge to make right. It doesn’t scratch easily. I know there are reviews saying that. But we’ve been good here so far. The grates have feet to them and do not scratch. It’s been a upgrade from our builder cook top in regards to BTU. Hope this helps
