Question:	Is there a way to upload data wirelessly, via a wifi link, to weather underground, for instance
Answer:	I have a Raspberry PI running weewx that allows me to send data to Weather Underground. My "indoor" display has a USB connector that I cable up to the Raspberry PI, and the PI transfers the data via wifi to my wireless router and then over the Internet to Weather Underground. Weewx *might* have options to send to other weather services but I'm not sure. Since weewx is written in Python it may also run on other hardware besides the PI but again I'm not sure if that is the case.

Answer:	Hello fitz, Model 06014 is only the 5in1 sensor. This does not come with a display to monitor the station. Model 01512 has both a display and the 5in1 sensor. Model 01512 will come with a single solar panel on the sensor and 06014 is a dual PRO+ sensor. A PRO+ is recommended in areas that are excessively sunny to provide more power to the aspirating fan on the inside of the sensor. Answer:	Read the last page of your manual on specs. It will show the min. & max. readings for each of your sensors. 99% is the highest reading possible for these units.

Answer:	The solar panel doesn't use or charge batteries, it's for powering a fan in the unit to keep the inside cool when it's sunny. That way, it won't heat up and show you too high of temperatures in the middle of the day. The big sensor itself (not this piece) takes regular 1.5v AA batteries.

Question:	Does the HIGH/LOW reset automatically? I need one that doesn't reset until I reset it
Answer:	It uses three 12 hour time blocks (36 total hours) per the 7/19/16 response and automatically resets. This screws up being able to determine the 24 hour hi-lo I was used to with another model. I much prefer the one that auto resets every 24 hours from battery insertion. On the latter, by inserting the batteries at midnight, a daily hi-lo was always available. With the 36 hour look-back this daily Hi-Lo feature is totally useless IMO.

Answer:	You might want to check out my review of this product (written 11/17/15). I bought 3 of these, compared them to each other for accuracy in temp and humidity and gave detailed results. Overall summary is, 2 of the units were pretty good with both humidity & temp accuracy (most likely acceptable for most people's use), the 3rd monitor was not. It's a crap shoot as far as getting one that's in the satisfactory range of accuracy for both readings, I think.

Question:	When fridge/freezer goes out of temp setting does alarm keep sounding until acknowledged
Answer:	When the alarm goes off, it gets annoying after awhile, so we have pressed the alarm button within 5 minutes to turn it off. I'm pretty sure it will sound until the temperature has returned within the set range or is turned off. Just be sure to press the alarm button again when the temperature is within the range you set, to reactivate the alarm mode.
Question:	What is the wireless range on this item
Answer:	I have mine set about 40 and 50 ft from receiver, both of which are transmitting through one exterior wall and 1 or 2 interior framed walls, with the receiver near mid point, and no problems after a couple of months. As others stated, the update is not immediate, so give it a while for the initial reading. Also, if you move the sensors, I found it helpful to take the batteries out of everything and start again - only takes a couple of minutes and gives some peace of mind. I think without heavily insulated walls, the range is probably more but have no proof.
Question:	What kind of recording capabilities does it have? I need to know how warm freezer became to avoid refreezing, when I am elsewhere
Answer:	it just lets you set an alarm to what ever temp you want to know I don't see a recording of it if I come by later. the best thing on the freezer is a glass of ice cubes in the freezer, it they ever turn to a block your freezer went hot for too long. that's the best and cheapest way I know.

Answer:	The correct reply is Yes, the display and the Sensor are "paired" like Blue Tooth devices. BUT, now for the bad news. Each time you replace the battery in ANY part of the system you need to perform the operation of "pairing" over again!!!Steps:1) Take all three parts, Display and both sensors and go away from the "other" sensors.2) Put fresh a battery in the Display and watch for NO Updates, takes a few moments to verify.3) Put a battery in each the sensors and watch for the "First" update to be correct.4) Leave these batteries in and walk back to the location needed.Now the new set will have a unique code and not read the "other" sensors values.The code is 32,000 values so yoiu can have MANY of these in the same place.NOTE: if you want a "copy" to be seen by Two Displays just PAIR both at the same place and time. They "Learn" from the first data point.

Question:	Does the acurite 06014 work with a 01036a1 display? my current exterior weather sensor goes through batteries in a week
Answer:	It only updates every 18 seconds. That's just crazy. Do you know how often the wind changes in 18 seconds ? So the accuracy is a totally zero !! You may step out your door into 30 mile an hour winds but your display shows only 6 miles an hour. Other than that, yep it displays the wind speed albeit from who knows when.
Question:	Can I pair this with Alexa
Answer:	Riley, we have the sensor about 40 feet away from the receiver. My husband mounted the sensor on top of an 8 foot board at the edge of the deck which is 7 feet above the ground to get wind speed, too. It works very well.
Question:	Will this unit handle winter weather
Answer:	Yes, but not as bad as some other units. 5-6 degrees versus 20 degrees.
Question:	Does this need to be mounted on a pole
Answer:	It is very easy. The sensor needs to be 5ft off the ground minimum, in an open area away from buildings and roads (anything that will interfere with wind flow and temperature). We mounted ours on a 6ft pole in our backyard and it works great. Also keep in mind how shade can affect temperature readings. Basically the further away from shade, ground, buildings, and roads is the way to go. And no roof mounts because shingles absorb heat. The description of the product gives you the diameter of an acceptable "pole". Higher the better. The sensor has a lock bolt that allows you to mount it on any pvc, steel, aluminum, or iron pole to the specified diameter. The instruction booklet of this product goes into great detail of where and how to mount the sensor. Again, very easy. This was a gift to my meteorology major wife, and she loves it. Hope this helps.

Answer:	Not days, average wind speed up to 180 minutes. The default is to record based on 30 minute intervals.

Answer:	According to the manufacturer the transmitting unit can be up to 300 feet from the reciever. I have my unit on a 12 ft pole approximately 70 feet from the transmitter (outside unit),and it works great, I'm very pleased with this product..
Question:	can you change the batteries in the sensor ,or is it permanent
Answer:	Yes , you can change the batteries yourself but I found it to be somewhat irritating replacing the standard batteries (app. twice a year). I installed the unit rather high (attached to chimney) to make sure I was getting accurate wind speeds I also tried using rechargeable batteries but they seemed to discharge rather quickly (app every 4 months). I came up with the idea to keep the rechargeable batteries but connect a small 5 volt solar panel. This setup works perfect. That was app 2 years ago and I haven't replaced a battery yet. Hopefully this helps.

Answer:	Yes. This fan has a steady 'white noise' sound. On low it is softer than on the high setting. I like both of the levels. the sound seems to drown out other noises like cars going by etc.

Answer:	The front grill can be removed by unhooking the three arms that hold it to the fan body. It can be tricky the first time but once you do it, it becomes easier.

Answer:	Absolutely, yes. This fan is like the ones made in the 1950's in many ways. It is very well manufactured and better than the the originals with better protection of your fingers. I looked into it and saw the power switch is a quality one. And the wiring is first rate with a fuse in the plug end of the power cord. I am going to buy another one as well. I have the larger type original by Vornado and this is as well made. The blades are plastic but well done, deep pitch 5 blade. Exceptionally high standards for modern products... quiet, reliable, and yes metal. Vornado is what they claim to be... the best room air circulatory systems made.

Question:	does it have to be next to a pc and plugged in or can it be on a wireless network
Answer:	I found that putting it on the back of my iMac made the mouse skip a lot. I guess the metal frame of the computer -- or maybe the USB ports -- were interfering. I put it onto a spare USB port on my keyboard and now it works perfectly.
Question:	Does the USB have to plug into the monitor? If so, can I purchase an additional monitor? Is there a model that has a rain guage but is wireless? I don't want to have to stick the monitor in the computer room, but I want to be able to check on my iphone... Any suggestions
Answer:	I just got this mouse. I work in university and public libraries on a daily basis. You ask a great question, F. Campillo. I can aswer with certainty that this mouse does click, and if you work in those environments, you will not want this mouse. I'm leaving mine at home and going back to the expensive but effective Apple Bluetooth white, buttonless mouse. The Amazon mouse is just loud enough to be a problem to others in a quiet room (especially those sitting next to you or across from you).

Answer:	Info for the mouse is not confusing or conflicting. It is not Bluetooth, but requires the USB receiver. It works with any device with Windows or Mac OS 10; and which have a USB port. So the specs on the MacBook Air need to be checked carefully before buying - some have USB port, some don't. It's that simple.The model No. on the receiver is MGR0975, which is paired with the mouse Model No. B0005EJh6Z4. They are a pair, and yes they work with Apple with OS 10, but you need a USB port for the receiver. Question:	Do i have to set the time manually or can it get its atomic time from fort collins, i do not see this model on acurite's website which concerns me
Answer:	I manually set mine. I did not see anywhere in the instructions where it says otherwise or if it can get the Atomic time. The only sensor it has on it is the wireless sensor to work with the outdoor portion of the kit so I'm pretty sure you can only manually adjust it. It was smart enough to adjust for daylight savings a couple weeks ago, but that's the only automatic part of the clock portion that I know of.
Question:	So the only way you see the data remotely with an iphone/ipad is if it's hooked up to a computer
Answer:	Yes, otherwise it just displays it on the Weather Station Display. If it is hooked up to the PC, the software is loaded that comes with it and you have an internet connection you will be able to view it anywhere you can access a PC that is also connected to the internet or a smart phone that also has internet capability.
Question:	Does this station need to be mounted on a pole, or can it be mounted right onto a flat surface
Answer:	The bracket for the 5 in 1 sensor has the short pole type top for the sensor to mount to and the base of the bracket can mount on top or on the side of a post. I screwed mine down to the top of my pasture fence post. Hope this helps.
Question:	Can I use this with out a pc and will is save data like year to date rainfall
Answer:	The display will save some data then you have to download it to a computer. Or you can get the Internet bridge which uploads to a free Acurite account and link it to Weather Underground as a personal weather station. That is what I did, no computer required other than setting up your account and you can view the data from a smartphone app.

Answer:	Minimum of zero, maximum of three.The base unit displays three sensor readings all the time - no need to push a button the cycle through the sensors. A button press displays MAX, MIN, and Current temperatures of base and sensors.I recommend the 'Indoor' sensor as it has a digital readout on it - the outdoor sensor does not.
Question:	Can the indoor sensors be plugged in or are they battery only

Question:	What is the range of the wireless indoor and wireless outdoor sensors from the home unit
Answer:	I believe the manufacturer states 100m or approximately 300ft.My indoor sensor works great and my distance between my two buildings is 75-100 ft.I would guess that the outdoor sensor would have similar results
Question:	How accurate are the readings
Answer:	Looking at some of the previous responses, there seems to be a confusion between precision and accuracy. According to Acurite (the manufacturer), it is accurate to +/- 2F. The precision depends on the display, which is separate from this sensor. Most (if not all) Acurite displays only show whole numbers for temperature (e.g. 32F vs 32.6F). Further looking shows that the accuracy varies by temperature (this is normal for most measurements, even the most accurate ones). For example, from -40F to 32F, it is only accurate to +/- 4F, but from 68F to 75F, it is accurate to +/- 1F. Finally, some examples illustrating difference between accuracy and precision. A device that reads in tenths of a degree but has an accuracy of 4F might read 58.6F and seem very accurate to another device showing 55F. But if the latter is accurate to 1F, it is far more accurate. For example, if the temperature was actually 55.8F, the latter is within it's 1F tolerance and the former is also within its 4F tolerance, but the 55F of the latter is obviously more accurate.
