Is the drawer the same size as the bottom of the valet, or is it only a portion

This is a really nice jewelry box. The drawer is the width of the bottom--2 knobs to pull open that one drawer. The lid at the top doesn't stay open by itself. You have to hold the lid up while you pull your watch out. Between the top section and the bottom drawer is space for more watches but it's open. (I don't know why they didn't put a cover over that---so, if you have anything silver, it will get exposed to the air.) Despite all of this, my husband loves the box. It was a great Christmas gift.

Answer:	No. And any large watch may be too thick for the box, the lid may not close. It's a nice box, but too small. I returned mine and got a SONGMICS black 6. Much nicer.
