Answer:	It is for the whole base. The problem I had it ships in 2 boxes and they kept sending only one box after about 4 times I had a complete stand. When I received mine (they give you 1 bolt to put together), I redrilled the hole and drilled another one for 5/16" and used grade 8bolt w/lock nut.

Answer:	Just got back from a 15 day stay in China and uses the adapter throughout with no problems. Used on 240 volt supplies and even on 120 volt systems, encountered no problems. Even here in the states when I only had a single 120 V plug, when I wanted to connect multiple UPS cords the adapter worked without any problems. For a laptop or any other piece of equipment verify that the laptop or Kindle, iPad whatever, doesn't draw more power than the adapter is certified for. I actually had four UPS devices and an additional 120 V device connected at one time. Enjoy your travels.

Answer:	Yes. plug in the grounding adapter and install the screw. Then plug a outlet tester into the 3 prong end of the adapter. it should indicate if there is a ground to the outlet. If the outlet box is metal and grounded, the screw in the duplex outlet will normally be grounded also.
Question:	Can you safely plug a power strip into these
Answer:	You need to fasten the outlet wall plate screw over the green tab in order to complete the path to ground. This will only work if the outlet itself is grounded. Then use an outlet tester (you can buy them at hardware stores) the check if you have a path to ground.

Answer:	The size is bigger because it has more buttons= more options. It is designed as a Media Remote with more Media options than the Microsoft. I would assume after reading reviews and a Talon vs Microsoft article that with the Microsoft you will be going back and forth with your Controller and Remote when streaming video. This is based off online reviews I have read and the article mentioned in a gaming mag comparing the 2 remotes.

Answer:	No, it doesn't work like a remote control (and using a different transmission standard too I think). The backlights will dim after inactivity but the buttons will always work provided you point the controller at the console.
