Answer:	It will run on Windows 10, as long as the operating system is 32-bit (x86) and not the more common 64-bit that we're used to seeing. No updates or optimization is required beyond that, as I just installed it on my 32-bit Windows 10 laptop with no issues.

Answer:	I purchased this game -- also Myst -- years ago before Mac went to the Intel chip. At that time I believe the CPU was called PowerPC and built by Motorola and IBM. Later, Apple dropped the PowerPC and rearchitected the Mac using the Intel processor. So, the game built in '97 won't work on OS X. It appears there is a version 1.2.0 for iOS but reviewers don't seem very happy with it. I used the PowerPC G3 and G4 on my earlier Macs just fine. The contents of the box include a number of cd's, some advertising, and general user manual for navigation and installation tips. The Clue book -- which i purchased years ago -- was a separate item. Apparently, there is a download available on cnet called "Riven X for Mac" that appears free to download. The original game was never updated to run on current Mac OS so a group of individuals "reverse engineered" the game to create a new engine. Hope this helps.

Answer:	As long as the operating system is 32-bit (x86), yes. I installed it on a Windows 10 laptop that was 32-bit, with no problems. The main issue is that most people have 64-bit PCs now, so they'll run into the "This program is unsupported by this operating system" message or something like that, so please everyone, mae sure you have a 32-bit (x86) operating system running on your PC/laptop before purchasing and attempting to install this game. The workaround of visualizing and other options can get tedious.

Instead of choosing PC or Mac at the time you redeem the code, you get all of them. If you switch platforms later you will be able to install other OS versions without re-purchasing the game.
