Answer:	I had this same issue when I first got it. I was worried I had purchased a defect controller! But all I did was install the most recent update for the Switch (had accidentally been in airplane mode for months), restart, and it started working perfectly. Try that!

Answer:	If you're talking about playing most steam/gog/etc games with it, then it might not work on it's own. But don't worry, this is normal. Most modern pc games use the XInput API for their controllers, and the switch and its controllers use the dated but faithful directinput API. You might wanna look into getting a dongle that 8bitdo makes that not only allows most controllers to work on switch, but on pc, mac, linux, and rpi. It looks like a brown coin block from the nes mario games, and it works phenomenally. It's how I use Switch controllers on pc games.

Answer:	The instructions are very unclear but by reading through the q&a, I found the answer and it worked. 1. Fully charge the controller 2. Using the joy-con on the switch console, in settings go to Controllers and select “change grip order”, then press and hold the home button on the new wireless controller for 5-6 seconds until the blue lights flash rapidly. The screen on the console will change to controller images. Follow instructions on screen which are to simply tap L + R, you should be paired up. In the bottom left of screen you should see the image of your new wireless controller.

Answer:	Make sure the controller is charged. There's a reset button (small dot) next to the charging port on the top of the controller. Try pressing and holding it for 10-15 seconds to reset the controller. Try connecting it again after you reset it. Go into the switch settings and seeing if the switch is detecting the controller as well.

Answer:	No, it does not have the NFC hardware needed.
