| Answer: | No. It's a complete left joy-con made by HORI, however like Edward S. says it's missing a few features so they can sell it for $25 instead of $40. There is no HD rumble, no SR/SL buttons (the little shoulder buttons in split screen table top mode), no infrared, no battery, and it only works when attached to the screen in handheld mode. |

Then as soon as they're sold out everywhere, they can jack the prices of their stash up to ridiculous amounts ($140 for an already expensive $75 controller???? That's absurd). If you're patient, they will be back in stock. There are web resources like nowinstock that you can check. I wouldn't give any of these scalpers my business, would rather just never buy the controller altogether; then they can just eat the cost of the controller instead of making a $70 profit on each one. |

I'm not sure about your charging dock since those are usually just a matter of whether the shape of the controller fits in it while inserting the charger part into the port. I will say the shape of this controller is slightly different so you would have to try it. |

The only downside is that there is nothing preventing the D-pad from pressing multiple directions at once, so occasionally I will butt down over a pit or something, but I still prefer the placement of the D-pad on this controller for 2D Mario. |
