In the game you are able to unlock characters to play in minigames by playing minigames and earning points to level up your Party Level. If you want to play as a certain character that hasn't been unlocked yet, you can use that said-character amiibo to unlock them. I did this with a Donkey Kong Amiibo (I used a Mario Party amiibo version of him.) and a Diddy Kong Amiibo (The super Smash Brothers amiibo), so any character that are in this game can be unlocked by playing the game naturally and no need for Amiibo.

This demo revealed a feature with a picture of the Wii U console, and states "Connect Smash Bros on Wii U" (source: I've personally played this demo, but this feature was grayed out for the demo, so I can't verify how it works).A GameSpot article by Justin Haywald further claims that "You'll be able to use your 3DS as a Smash Bros. controller on Wii U."So in a way, if this connect feature really does enable the 3DS to act as a controller, it'd possible that you could. But it may only be local play (this is pure conjecture).

Answer:	it's a little hard for anyone, but keep the 3d off :) make sure they don't get mad and throw it LOL :) but yeah it's okay for any age

Answer:	I just saw this game showcased at Target, and it claims there that it will play on a regular DS, only not in 3d (the picture will be flat).Update: I asked at the store, and they said it will only play on 3DS in 3d, and 2DS in 2d (regular picture), but not DS.

Answer:	When Yoshi grabs a "yoshi star" the music is pretty cool...the rest of the time the music is just 'ok'.
