Answer:	Kelly, I have had 150-172 lb. individuals sit on my Euro Style Sallie Stools with no adverse effects. I don't believe the stools are suitable for lengthy sitting but gatherings like cocktails parties where people are alternately standing, sitting, mixing with other guests, etc. these stools are fine. The original, Philippe Starck's Prince AHA Stool for Kartell, will support about 200 lbs and is made of polypropylene where the Sallie is made from ABS plastic. Perhaps polypropylene (still plastic of a sort) offers a bit better strength. But one Prince AHA stool is in the $120 range, not worth the price when compared to the Sallie stool. I am pleased with my Sallie stools and the options for varied use.
