| Answer: | The blade is 1/8 inch thick. I use it on a Chicago Electric metal cut-off saw. I can cut firewood up to 6" think with four cuts (fewer if the saw motor sat higher off the deck). Can easily chop a 4 x 4 or 4 x 6 (the latter with multiple cuts). I also cut three 2 x 4, 2 x 6, and 2 x 8s lying flat. Mind you I use it to cut firewood from unuseable boards and branches. If you want a perfect cut, this blade will work if the saw motor sits at least 6" off the deck. |
