The sad part about this product is when I used it on a Mac, it completely disengaged my wifi, which is some flaw in the hardware. Other Mac users had similar issues to mine, so I had to return the product. I don't know how this will work with HP, but I'm guessing the engineers intended on this being for Windows users.

Answer:	If your Raspberry Pi 3's has usb 2.0, this item can work on it. Our products are backward compatible with USB 2.0 and 1.1.
Question:	Is the power adaptor 12v 5a or 12v 7.5a
Answer:	Seller is incorrect and the description is partially misleading. The 10 port is not 60 watts and not 5 amps. It is 48 watts and 4 amps. It works well for most things but doesn't work at all with some of my HDD drives that depend solely on the USB ports for power. When I unplug the drive and plug directly into my laptop USB 3 ports, the drives work fine. All USB flash drives have worked very well. My USB powered external DVD player also won't work. I am thinking about returning the 10 port and trying the 16 port for the additional 42 watts / 3.5 amps. I run two laptops thru a KVM switch and I've had the drives working thru an old USB 2 hub but at a much lower speed. I've switched everything else off and still can't get the DVD to run on the 10 port. I bought this solely based on the 60 watt rating and the seller's comment verifying that it is 5 amps. IF YOU DON'T KNOW YOUR OWN PRODUCT, DO NOT ANSWER!!! WE DESPISE SELLERS FEEDING US MISLEADING INFO..
Question:	Do the actual ports on this light up? Or just the pinhole light? Or both
Answer:	The ports do not light up. It is the small pin holes in front of the port sites that light up in a blue color.
Question:	can this be used without its power supply to communicate with devices that provide their own power
Answer:	I just bought and tested the 10-port hub. It does NOT work **at all** without the power supply also plugged in. I'm returning it as a result, because I am using it to program super-low-power microcontrollers and don't want the hassle of having to also plug in the power supply for this purpose. Also, the power supply cable is 4 ft long, NOT The advertised 10 ft long. That makes me grumpy. I shall continue my search for a 10-port hub which does NOT require the power supply plugged in to power a single 10mA device.
