Answer:	We had another DS and the only reason we had to replace it was due to the scratch marks on the screen. It was very hard to see. The unit itself worked great. I wish they could just replace the screen but maybe that is not cost effective. Answer:	No sadly. The only pro controller compatible with Wii U is the Wii U pro controller which has a upside... it is wireless

Answer:	I bought them for Super Mario Bros. and it said an incompatible controller was connected. Not sure if it will work for Super Smash Bros. but I returned mine for a refund without any problems.

Answer:	We don't know if a rechargeable battery pack would fit because after about 6 weeks the buttons started sticking on both of the controllers we bought. Plus we couldn't get the nunchucks to work well with the controllers. I would suggest you pass on this and get an official Wii product. I know it is more expensive but I believe they will actually work without issues.
