It’s way too loud because you are literally receiving the full and complete signal, without any volume control at all. You’d want to either plug your headphones into whatever device the HDMI cable plugs into (TV, monitor) or plug some other device into the 3.5mm jack (some kind of audio controller or speaker or sound bar or something) and plug your headphones into that device.

Answer:	I have a 4K TV and it works great, nothing else worked for me. It takes the place of the gray outlet plug in the back of the WII. Remove that big gray plug and put this in its place, then you can plug in the HDMI cord to it and the other end into the TV. If you did that and it still didnt work then theres something your missing since this is specific to connect WII"s to use HDMI that all the newer TV's use. Also check your source feed to see where its feeding through. I think If I can get this darn near everybody can. I just let go of my VHS player (that still worked) and its tapes, you got this.
