I have a pair of HD headphones with only a 3 pole, so I got a v-moda boom bro mic and plugged it into the headphones. From there i just connected it to my controller and party/game chat works fine. Your situation would be the same with a cable. Just remove adding the v-moda and just plug a 4 pole 3.5mm from the headset directly to the controller. |

And lastly, nope, you don't need an HDMI cord to play, you can play with an AV cord, but you won't get good video quality. If you want to buy an HDMI cord for a super cheap price, check around online. I bought mine for 5 dollars. |
