Answer:	Changing out the preamp tube to a groove tubes 12AT7 took out a lot of humming on mine. Also i have read that American made capacitors are the best for the ripple filter and Mallory 150 series work good for coupling capacitors. I never checked to see what caps are being used in this amp, i have also read that you should avoid caps made by Cornell Dublier, and Illinoise Capacitor. Be sure that you file the ground holes like it tells you to in the instructions.

Answer:	It's most likely the shifter there are four screws on the top pull the shifter out and reverse the connectors in the bottom if this switches allows you to go in forward you know the shifter is bad this is something you could get easily on Amazon

Answer:	It may just be the gear box- the way to check is to lift the toy off the ground from the rear. if you try to spin the wheel that wants to move when only in high, that wheel should rotate with some resistance. But if you try to spin the wheel that doesn't move when you place the toy in gear, if that wheel also moves with resistance, then move on and inspect the shifter or speed selector. If that wheel is locked up, however, then the gear box is locked up- either the motor itself is bad or the plastic wheel gears are frozen. this part replaces both.
