Question:	why do the lights quit after about 30 days
Answer:	Yours lasted that long? Mine quit after 1-2 days! The seal on the base where the LED's are is not water proof. After a day or two you will see that it is full of water and that simply shorts out the lights. The fountain will still flow but there won't be any lights so that is why you are better off getting the cheaper version without lights.
Question:	Can you use fountain with or without the colors being displayed
Answer:	Yes the fountain works great. Just the lights fail after a few days... They have cheaper fountains that have no lights and work the same...

Answer:	I finally got mine to quit leaking by; 1. teflon tape (6 wraps) 2. lubed o'ring 3. added the unused gasket to neck. Don't know which did it.Also, a tip for working on the leakers: 1. unscrew the eyeball retainer ring and remove eye ball 2. screw retainer ring back on with a sandwich 'baggie over the hole. Makes a water tight seal.

Answer:	My pool in Texas gets full sun. The water temp will easily get to 95 degrees. Using this drops my temperature down to 85 degrees. If your pool is already hot when you start using this I would recommend running the pool at night to drop the temperature faster. I have been using the same fountain for the last 10 years.

Question:	Can this pump be used with a short hose on the intake hole to vacuum the bottom of a pond
Answer:	This is probably not a good idea. If you were to use any pump at all for such a task, I would recommend a solid's handling pump. Mag drive pumps will suffer damage with too much grit and debris being drawn into them. Consider a pond vacuum like the Matala Pondvac II or the Oase classic. Both can be found for about $199. Better vacuums like the Pondovac III and Pondovac 4 cost more but work better to. The Matala Power Cyclone is currently the best pond vac available to the consumer but it is a higher price point of course. Answer:	Thanks for your question. A ball valve from a hardware store is exactly what you need. As long as you don't close off the flow completely the pump should be fine. If possible you could also look into diverter valves which work very similar to the ball valve but instead of blocking flow completely they send the water to another outlet. Answer:	There are written instructions included in each case. It requires a ball point pen or similar implement to push the detent so that the code may be adjusted.

Answer:	When you receive it it will be all set to zeros and the zippers will be in the locked position. Slide the little square that has a keyhole in it and says tsa007 on it the right 1/4 inch and it will pop out the zipper locks. Then you can get inside to retrieve the instructions on how to change the lock. Amazon should include this in their product description page.

Answer:	First is water fresh or been sitting unfiltered? If unfiltered 1/4 bag should be plenty I use 1/2 bag for 40,000 gallon pool with regular chlorine tabs in skimmer. In heat of summer 2 cups a week if needed. Start by adding 2 cups and check your chlorine level if not at proper level add another 2 cups ect.

Question:	How difficult is it to rotate the head to spray under the water, as most of the time we like our water to warmer instead of cooler
Answer:	Great question! So rotating the fountain head under the water is one of the easier functions that can be performed with the fountain. To do so, you would simply loosen (turn) the part where the Elbow Connector (C) meets/attaches to the Inlet Connector (D). For reference, the Inlet Connector is the part that attaches to the return jet on the side of the pool. Once you loosen that part, the entire fountain can be rotated under the water, then you can proceed to tighten it again so the fountain stays in place under the water.

Maintain total alkalinity in the range of 60 to 120 parts per million (ppm). Maintain calcium hardness above 200 ppm. Use a reliable test kit that measures all these ranges. Use our pool care products to make adjustments. Follow label directions for each product. Do not enter pool until the free available chlorine residual is 1-4 ppm for each of the below noted water treatment applications. OPENING YOUR POOL: For best results, see the “WATER BALANCE” section above before treatment. Always adjust and maintain pH in the 7.2 to 7.6 range. Follow “SHOCK TREATMENT” directions on this package. Allow 30 minutes for product to disperse. Test free available chlorine residual with a pool test kit. Repeat treatment as needed. Throughout the pool season, adjust and maintain pH at 7.2 to 7.6. check available chlorine with a suitable test kit. SHOCK TREATMENT/SUPERCHLORINATION: For best results, see “WATER BALANCE” and “HOW TO USE” section above before treatment. Every 7 days, or as necessary to prevent pool problems, shock treat/superchlorinate the pool by adding one bag of this product per 10,000 gallons of water to provide 5 to 10 ppm available chlorine. Additional shock treatments may be required to correct problems which are caused by visible algae, high bathing loads, heavy wind and rainstorms. Additional shock treatments may also be required to correct problems such as unpleasant odors and eye irritation. Check the available chlorine with a suitable test kit. STORAGE AND DISPOSAL: Keep this product dry in its tightly closed container when not in use. Store in a cool, dry, well-ventilated area. Keep away from heat or open flame. Nonrefillable container. Do not reuse or refill this container. Rinse empty container thoroughly with water to dissolve all material prior to disposal. Offer for recycling if available. Do not contaminate food or feed by storage or disposal or cleaning of equipment.

Answer:	Shade is best, but sundown makes you run the filter all night. For me, works fine if you apply in the morning shade and filter all day normally. This is a really good product - better than many others I've tried.
