Intex infant life vests are specially designed personal flotation devices (PFDs) for infants and young children, ensuring their safety in and around water. These life vests are commonly used in settings such as pools, water parks, lakes, and other recreational water areas. Here's what you need to know about Intex infant life vests and their relevance to baby floats, pool water toys, sports and outdoor play, and toys and games:
Safety and Design: Intex infant life vests are designed with safety as the top priority. They typically feature a secure, adjustable buckle and crotch strap to keep the vest in place and prevent it from slipping off. They also have a buoyant design to help infants stay afloat while in the water.
Comfort and Fit: These life vests are constructed with comfort in mind, as they are intended for use by infants and young children. They often have soft, comfortable materials and adjustable straps to ensure a snug but comfortable fit.
Buoyancy: Intex infant life vests provide a certain level of buoyancy to help infants stay above the water's surface while supervised. The buoyancy is typically distributed evenly to provide stability and support.
Size and Weight Range: Intex offers infant life vests in various sizes to accommodate different age groups and weights. It's crucial to choose a life vest that is appropriate for your child's size and weight to ensure a secure fit.
US Coast Guard Approved: Many Intex infant life vests are designed to meet or exceed safety standards set by organizations like the U.S. Coast Guard. Look for vests that are labeled as "US Coast Guard approved" for added peace of mind.
Versatility: Intex infant life vests are suitable for various water activities, including swimming, wading, and playing in the pool. They are designed to allow a range of motion while keeping infants safe.
Water Toys and Floats: Intex offers a range of water toys and floats that can complement the use of infant life vests. These toys may include inflatable floats, swim rings, and other pool accessories designed for children's enjoyment and safety.
Outdoor Play: Intex infant life vests are often used in the context of outdoor play and water-based activities. Parents and caregivers should always closely supervise children when they are in or near the water, even when wearing life vests.
Toys and Games: While not toys themselves, infant life vests are essential for ensuring children's safety during water-based play. They enable children to participate in water-based toys and games with added protection.
In summary, Intex infant life vests are designed to provide safety and buoyancy for infants and young children during water-related activities. They are a crucial accessory for parents and caregivers who want to ensure their child's safety while enjoying water play. User questions & answers
Question: | What’s the weight limit? Thank you |
Answer: | That should be in the product description. |
Question: | My lil 9 mo old is petite , 16lbs .. will she fit in this? And up to how big the child is before they outgrow this |
Answer: | 9 month old, 16 pounds fits perfectly 😊. My daughter was about 16 lbs & fit perfectly |
Question: | My five month old is currently 14lbs. We are taking her with us vacation next month, will she fit this float or be too small |
Answer: | The straps the sit in make a small plus sign under the float, so she should fit no problem. My son is now at 27 pounds and still fits fine. Two things to point out, 1) you baby should be able to stand and sit up etc the float offers no support in that regards other than a piece they can lean back on.2) order and extra one, our first float ripped at the strap causing the thing to lose air and sink. So they aren't durable and that was after the 5th usage. |
Question: | Can my 12 pound 3 month old use this |
Answer: | My preemies 13 month old boys 20-22 pounds are a bit small for this baby float but I think you can try it with your baby and make sure to pay very close attention because they can tilt to one side if baby is not centered and he can end up drinking pool water |

User questions & answers
Question: | Does it fit for a 6month baby? to stay balanced by himself |
Answer: | Yes it certainly is waterproof enough to use in a pool. From a safety standpoint i suppose the manufacturer would say that it should not be considered a "floatation device". |
Question: | If i purchuse the 4 pk that mean 4 floats come in it right |
Answer: | Thank you. I have learned that one only needs to blow air with your mouth by squeezing the insert and squeezing the insert to expel the air. |
Question: | I see that there is a seemingly identical floatie that is less expensive. Can anyone confirm this 3 feet in diameter? That seems a bit wide |
Answer: | I wouldn’t get it. If he ends up laying in the side he will have a split head to the shape of the pillow. It actually gave my baby a flat spot on the right spot because he would sometimes turn his head to sleep. Trust me don’t get it |

- 32" x 26"
- Two air chambers
- Smooth leg holes
- Inflatable sunshade
- Three play balls in hand bar (1 rattle ball, 2 plastic balls)
User questions & answers
Question: | Why is this labeled for 1-2 years of age and then suggested for 2 and up in the legal disclaimer |
Answer: | Yes. There is Velcro under the front two posts that helps hold the sunshade on to the float. The back two posts are completely attached though so the sunshade cannot be removed. |
Question: | Would I be able to lay my 3 month old in here? Maybe cover the leg holes with a towel or something so she wouldn't fall through |
Answer: | We had a 12mo old in it and he sat just fine. It does sit kind of deep to keep them centered I guess, so just be aware. Our 12mo old's chin was just above the outer ring. If I could post a picture I would, but don't see how (I guess only for reviews). Hope this helps. |
Question: | has UB protection |
Answer: | Yes |
Question: | Can you lift up the sunshade |
Answer: | Shoot... That's intertube... Not flootie |

User questions & answers
Question: | Is this a coast guard approved flotation device |
Answer: | It keeps them on their back yes. I used this for for 4 Month old and felt like it was the best option I Could find. |
Question: | Bought the infant size for 10-month-old, 23 lb. (walker) but he squirms & flips himself facedown, hates leaning back. Did I get the wrong vest |
Answer: | I would say yes. Our son is 24 mo, small (under the 30 lb limit) and super active. This vest is great because he can still move a lot and it's not restrictive. Highly recommend! |
Question: | What is infant weight range for this life jacket |
Answer: | I used it for my daughter who was about 22 pounds for a boat trip. This brand of infant vest is one size that fits infants under 30 lbs. I think the sizing is a mistake on the seller and can be disregarded. |
Question: | Is the baby content or comfortable wearing it |
Answer: | You choose the size based on weight, not age. If your child is under 30 lbs, you would choose the infant size. |

Answer: | You need a USB receiver to use the mouse functions. It will work as a stylus. |
Question: | Amazon is offering "small" or "large". Both state "This life jacket fits infants weighing less than 30 pounds" What is the difference |
Answer: | The button is indeed mislabeled in the photo. The button shown in the photo just below the scroll wheel is the left mouse button. On the other side of the pen, which is not shown in the photo, is another button, and that one is the right mouse button. That button is where your right thumb rests (provided that you are a right-handed user), if you're holding the pocket mouse as a pen. |

User questions & answers
Question: | Does the 50-90lbs have crotch strap |
Answer: | Yes! It sure is! Wouldn't have purchased it if it wasn't Coast Guard approved. In fact, if your life vests are not approved by the Coast Guard, they can ticket you! I'd rather be safe than sorry with a great life vest for an infant. |
Question: | How do I know what size I'm ordering |
Answer: | I think it is a mistake. The small infants vest fits those under 30 lbs. If it's a large it should fit those over 30 lbs. |
Question: | Will this flip child onto their back |
Answer: | Yes, the shape and design on this one is the same, the material used is just a little softer. |
Question: | This labeled as childrens, which gits 30-50 lbs but description has it as youth, 50-90 lbs. Is it child or youth |
Answer: | Yes there are arm holes . The back is a thick spandex like material that goes between the legs and up the back . We love this and it seems that our 9 month old does too |

User questions & answers
Question: | Does this have holes for baby to put legs through |
Answer: | Not sure, as ours does not have a filter basket. We hook it to the pump and open the outlet for the nasty water to go out. It worked good once we figured out you have to fill the entire hose w water aka prime it, before it will suck anything up. |
Question: | Does the section with the baby in it fall over if an adult isn't in the section for the adult |
Answer: | The hose has to be full of water before you stick it in the hole in the filter basket |
Question: | Is the leaf shade removable |
Answer: | Yes it does attach to a vaccum head & it's great quality I love this hose |
