Answer:	My daughter is a lvl 4 gymnast. This beam allows her to practice turns, leaps, handstands, balk walkovers, dismounts, etc. She has a foldable floor beam as well but didn't feel the foldable beam allowed her to place her hands properly over the sides of the beam. I recommend this beam. If you plan to raise the beam to full height, definitely invest in some mats to put underneath it. To answer your question, yes this is a good beam for a gymnast to practice on.

Question:	How Tall Is It
Answer:	Yes! Definitely. It's great for use at a standing desk. Keeps the legs & core active. You may need to gradually build up the length of usage though. I could only use this for 15 minute increments initially. Now I stand on it for hours at a time. I have both a rocker board and the Airex Elite pad. I stand on the Airex pad for most of my workday at a standing desk. If we ever return to working in the office again, I will bring this with me.

Question:	I have purchased this beam for my daughter for Christmas and the beam is not straight. This is not a very convenient or easy item to return
Answer:	There is definitely some would under the foam padded outside but I can not tell you the quality of the wood. It seems cheap and hollow. When I pick up the beam I hear something rattling on the inside. Using a piece of lumber would work but you would need to add the padding on the outside. If you used the wood it would be solid and more durable. This beam is shaped like a trapezoid and a piece of lumber is a rectangle. I think a 4”x6”x8” would give you a wider base and make it more sturdy. Hopefully this helps.

Answer:	The beam itself works great for turns, however, when placed on a hardwood floor, the beam moves around. It's hard to balance and turn when the beam is moving. If it was placed on a carpet or non-slip pad, it might work for turns.
