Answer:	The existing zip line will have to be disconnected at the end where the brake coil is to be installed. The coil is fed over the end of the zip line cable before the cable is reconnected.

Made from stainless steel, and with our heavy duty recycled plastic ends are screwed in for durability. The Spring Stop is made for the zip lines 100' or less with 3% grade or less. The kids (adults too) will love the extra length you get out of your shorter zip line runs, as opposed to using a standard bungee braking system. Just feed the cable through the black plastic ends and send down to the end of your zip line. The trolley will bump into the Spring Stop and the spring will compress against the stop block (sold separately) and slow down the rider. If your zip line is already set-up, you will need to remove the cable to install this product. 3' Long 1 1/4" diameter fits cable up to 1/2". For additional stopping power: two, three or four springs can be added to your zip line.

Question:	Can you use this as a backup for (in addition to) the bungee brake that comes with the zip line
Answer:	Good question. I suppose you could use it as a backup, but it really is designed as a stand alone brake at a 3% slope or less. Most Bungee Brakes are designed to be used on upwards of 6% slopes, so if you were to hit this brake at any kind of speed, it may not be suitable. Thanks.
Question:	Does this work a 500' zip line kit
Answer:	No, this does not. This brake is designed for 100' zip lines or less and at a slope of only 3% or less. I imagine you will want either a 30' Bungee Brake or a Brakehawk. Thanks.
Question:	does it fit a 5/8" line
Answer:	It does not, but we can reem them out to fit 5/8" cable.
Question:	is this spring stop as effective as a bungee break? I'd rather implement the spring over the bungee
Answer:	It works very well for us, but we have a short run, only 50 feet. Because it is short, we didn't get too much speed, so we increased the grade more than the 6 degrees it is rated for. It stops us big adults too - we built it to support everyone. We put the turnbuckle behind hit (Indusco 93900296 Hot Dipped Drop Forged Galvanized Steel Jaw and Jaw Turnbuckle) to offset it further from the tree since we have a rope and seat for the kids. Using a turnbuckle so we can pull in the slack when it warms up and keep it tight. There are no collisions with the tree, but I'm still going to make a pad for the tree. It works great. Just don't forget to slide it on the line before you rig it up. We've only had it for a couple weeks, but all the neighbor's come over, so it gets a lot of use including a lot of pushing the kids and working the spring. We installed a wood block for it to hit against a flat surface instead of the metal clamps at that turnbuckle.

Question:	What is the max weight of the rider that it can stop
Answer:	It stops me at 185lbs. Lighter riders (like kids) may experience a rapid reversing effect as the spring loads and then springs back.
Question:	Can I use this on a rope instead of a cable
Answer:	I i haven't tried that. I would guess as long as the rope was the same size as the cable. A rope would probably wear with the friction more than a cable
Question:	With a 450 ft zip line, for kids & adults, will 3 springs be a good enough backup with our handbrake
Answer:	It will depend upon the slope of the line and the weight of the people. I have two springs for 150 foot line. I use a ratchet cable winch at the bottom of my line. When the kids are riding, I leave slack in the cable so it bottoms out about 20 feet from the end. They still clear the ground, but the rise then gently slows them before they hit the spring. When it is tight, they need to hang on because they swing when they hit the spring.
